I use [this cheap-ish one](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BS6B4PD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1\) and it works fine. Be sure to remove the battery and wipe it down after every use. I leave the battery off until I work out again.

Coospo HR monitor
I have this $25 HRM from Amazon and it works flawlessly.
I have one of these. Works great. I used to have a wahoo one and it stopped working after a few weeks.
The polar h10 is probably the most recommended and reliable one out there. But it costs more than double the coospo one.
Get a cheap heart rate monitor. It is really worth it.

I have a whoop strap and a garmin monitor but I got my wife this cheap one. I end up using it for my trainer rides because it hooks up to Strava and apple fitness Etc. super easy to use.
Can't speak to Tickr reliability, but I've used this generic HRM for about a year and a half without issue, if you're looking for an alternative:

Thanks for the further details!
I went ahead and bought a Versa 3 yesterday. I fully intended to exercise my Bestbuy 45 day return policy if it doesn't work out, but I didn't want to make the sacrifices I know I'll have to make with Garmin, so I figured I'd give the versa 3 HR monitor a chance first. Most the reviews came shortly after release, so bugs may have effected those.
Hopefully I'll find it acceptable. If not, I'll return it and give Garmin a shot, it's HR monitor has glowing reviews. But the sleep tracking is awful I hear. Also the notification features are weak and it doesn't answer phone calls. I use this pretty often on my Samsung.
I wasn't satisfied with my Samsung either. It gets the heart rate pretty accurate in steady state. But it's algorithms are pretty bad. In many exercises, it tracks HR... then quietly ignores that info in the calorie calculation. It's calorie calculation outside exercise sessions is even worse. Basically if I'm not exercising, it only credits me barely above my BMR. The sleep tracking also isn't as good as fitbit.
My chest strap is this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BS6B4PD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_8VX7FE75KJVA5JD45TYW

Thanks for the response. I just found this one on Amazon for 20 bucks. I just read another post and they said it worked with DDP Yoga. I figured for 20 bucks it's worth to try.

Not a watch but the sensor is relatively cheap and can pair with most phone apps and is more accurate than a watch sensor
I just bought this one off Amazon. It'll arrive tomorrow and I'm going to try it out on Monday. The reviews seem decent and the price (for me) is right.
I used a 30% off code for my scosche - there’s probably one floating around for Mother’s Day.
And I must have remembered which one the cheap one was incorrectly - let me scroll through amazon to see if I can find it.
Edit- searched hr monitors in this community and this coospo one has been mentioned in the group multiple times. Also if you have an Orangetheory hr monitor, it will work. Basically anything that connects via ant+ if you’re wanting to shop around.
I’ve been using this pretty much everyday for a year, works great:

This one on Amazon works great and doesn’t break the bank
I have one of these https://www.amazon.com/…. ($30) and it works great
$30 and probably more accurate than your wrist based HRM: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BS6B4PD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I just saw this. The answer is yes at least for heart monitors. I have these and they all work. I have a bluetooth + an ANT dongle on a Windows PC.
Yeah, testing with pulsoid for me was extremely high latency vs just Ant+. I've used a couple BT/Ant garmin and samsung smartwatches with a couple services, but at the end of the day nothing beats golden cheetah+HR chest strap and cheap ant+ receiver.
These are my kit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BS6B4PD

I'm not saying you are wasting your time, just that the performance of these watch based systems seem to just be... much, much worse than is reliable. I found that having something high intensity reading 1-2 seconds after it occurred does not provide useful feedback or much entertainment unless it's pretty close to live,so a local solution works a lot better.
If what you offered was free, that's fine, but at 5 bucks to "try out" an app, I'd recommend someone try pulsoid which at least functions for free before I told them to shell out for an app.
That's my 2 cents.
This one is $30 and can pair with your phone, no watch needed. I use a free app called Polar Beat.
Most of the Peloton accessories are junk and extremely overpriced. You can buy a $25 HRM that will do a much better job.
I still use my old Timex HRM from years ago but have this one bookmarked if it dies…lots of Peloton accessories lists mentioned it as a good value.

I've been using this generic HRM strap for the last year and a half and it's been pretty flawless - totally worth the ~$20:

I've spent some time troubleshooting my cheap one. Yours is probably perfectly functional, but there's two things to "fix" it.
Since it just stopped working, you may need to replace the battery. It won't crap out completely when the battery starts to go -- just start providing increasingly wonky results.
More likely, particularly since it just got cooler, is that you're not creating enough electrolyte-rich sweat to get a good signal. If that's the case, this stuff will immediately resolve your issue. Just put a dab on the contacts before each run.
idk, a bluetooth chest strap like this w/ https://pulsoid.net/ ?

personally dont stream but i just googled for a bit and looked at the recommendations on pulsoid's site
