Amazon page says that the m65 pro is an optical (pmw 3360, flawless). If you have the nonpro m65, you get some laser sensor.
The Corsair m65 RGB is great if you only need a few programmable buttons. Simple, solid, and not horribly expensive (currently $44.99 on amazon). Love this mouse.
Edit: Like others have said though, figure out what size/type of mouse fits comfortably in your hand before choosing one
Drop the keyboard, it’s a membrane keyboard that costs 50. Save up for a mechanical or just get a cheaper one and put the money to something else. Also I found a cheaper rgb mouse from Corsair which is a more reliable company in my opinion
CORSAIR M65 Pro RGB - FPS Gaming Mouse - 12,000 DPI Optical Sensor - Adjustable DPI Sniper Button - Tunable Weights - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D63UU52/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_DXEbCbHBK6EGR
If you care about rgb with your keyboard just search on amazon to get the best deal they can go for 25 which will cut some costs for you and you can just get better parts, which matters more than making your computer a Nigerian strip club (Search Amazon only for accessories not actual pc parts!)
Having extra buttons is great. I've got the corsair m65, I wouldn't reccomend it, because the middle mouse button broke after 2 months, but the side buttons are great for push to talk, and spamming emotes when my team is feeding.
I know this is a couple days late, but as a long-time PC gamer and FPS enthusiast, i'd love to encourage you to expand your comfort zones. Using a controller for a PC First Person Shooter (eg. Counter-Strike, Battlefield, PUBG, etc) is like driving with one eye closed, you'll get a lot of the basic essentials down but you're unnecessarily making things way more difficult for yourself than you need to. To be frank-- you're going to get absolutely demolished by anyone with a mouse if you can't get away with enabling Aim Assist as a handicap (this option's disabled in most Multiplayer games). A reliable mouse is the undisputed king of First Person Shooters by a landslide.
The mouse i'd love to recommend to you is discontinued (Corsair M95), however Corsair has a same-generation model that's just as good for only $45USD (on sale at the moment), it's a Corsair M65: https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-M65-Pro-RGB-Adjustable/dp/B01D63UU52/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1512602280&sr=8-1&keywords=Corsair+M65
If you feel you're not good at shooting with the mouse, consider adjusting your mouse sensitivity (DPI) lower - a common default a lot of people use is 400 DPI to approximately 800 DPI. It may feel very slow at first, but practice makes perfect and you'll be doing things you didn't know you were capable of in no time.
Back to the topic at hand however, Helldivers is a wonderful controller game. I own an Xbox One Controller but always find myself going back to my beloved Playstation DS4s. I never liked the feeling of the Steam controller myself but that's largely preference based (I'm not a fan of the touch panels at all). Throwing another vote in the hat for the DS4.
I bought a bunch of cheap mice and kept having issues with slow/jerky movement. I decided to try splurging to see if it helped and it seems to have. I got This Corsair Gaming mouse and have been pretty happy with it.
Had this mouse, it's a solid budget gaming mouse if all you want is the DPI button. If you want a slight step up the Sabre is probably a good choice as well.
I ended up upgrading to the m65 Pro and really enjoy the decision. Having access to the programmable buttons on the side are really useful. I might be the outlier but I do use the "Sniper Button" which lowers your DPI. I use it mostly in PUBG and BF1.
I use the Corsair Vengeance M65, my hands aren't that big either, and I like it very much, have been using it for almost 2 years now.
if you want a really good mouse for a reasonable price, try this. ive been using it for a year now with little to no issues. excellent mouse, check it out.
If you like big and heavy for claw, I’d just go with a straight up upgrade to the M65 Pro. Plus, it's on sale right now.
Also look into the G502. It's very nice to large claw grip users.
Roccat Kone EMP also looks good, though it's much lighter. I would recommend stuff like G403, but not only is it quite light, but it also has a bit different shape, which is better suited for palm users.
I'm looking into the M65 RGB 12000 and it and it seems nice, do you happen to know how the sensor compares to the G502? What about the side buttons, do they have a nice tactile "clicky" feel?
Also, would it work well with a fingertip grip? It seems hefty.

Have a look at the Corsair m65 PRO RGB. https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Gaming-Mouse-Backlit-Optical/dp/B01D63UU52/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1464573864&sr=1-1&keywords=corsair+mouse
This mouse is brilliant, It is super comfortable to use, the build quality is fantastic and the new PRO edition has a world famous sensor in it that is considered one of the best for gaming, It also has RGB lighting for a little extra aswell. It comes just under your budget which is a great price for this mouse.
Personally i would recommend the Corsair M65 RGB PRO, I have the m65 my self and i find it super comfortable to use and the sensor seems to be good for gaming as well. http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-M65-Backlit-Optical-CH-9300011-NA/dp/B01D63UU52/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1460144482&sr=8-5&keywords=corsair+m65
You can pick it up for $60 from amazon
hmm i know nothing about the Sharkk one tbh. The m65 iw ould probably go with this one Corsair m65 RGB Pro it is the newest version of that mouse with the 3360 sensor, but it is also pretty heavy
Currently same price on Amazon though I bought it for $45 a few months ago there.
I personally like the M65 Pro RGB. Right now it's only $50 on Amazon.

But my hands are gigantic
Also $39.99 on Amazon.
m65 for sure, and if you don't care about white vs black, Amazon has the black version on sale for $30: https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-M65-Pro-RGB-Adjustable/dp/B01D63UU52/
As stated in the title the keyboard and mouse light up in sync perfectly. Same color and everything. The headset, however, is quite a bit darker despite everything having the same color codes.
Any way to fix this or does the headset just not have the capabilities for as wide a range of colors? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For mouse G502 is super popular but it’s $67 atm. M65 is $40 right now and a good option

Is there a better gaming mouse for a similar price? Thinking about getting it now but wanted to see your thoughts here first.
This might work for you and is a great mouse.

I ended up getting the $360 refurb b350 board from newegg: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813144133
Due to not being able to get a 2nd gen ryzen, I went for the $130 6 core 5 1600 using the extra money saved
it looks like that case has its own RGB controller. The MSI motherboard supports Mystic Light Sync. Are there any good cases that have use the motherboard's RGB controller?
I ended up going with this $30 Corsair RGB FPS mouse: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D63UU52/
Also looking for a good RGB keyboard if you have any recommendations. I've seen some on slickdeals but they usually have cherry MX blue switches which i heard weren't good for gaming.

Corsair M65 did me well until I upgraded to the Dark Core wireless mouse.
Refund.

This is what you want. I have used this mouse for a few years now.

The hardware can do most things, so its fine until you want to start playing at 4k max settings on all your games, so your hardware should be fine. For $250 i'd get a decent corsair mouse and keyboard.
Also, as a person who plays overwatch too, if your planning on playing competitive semi-seriously you'd wanna go for a headset, I'd personally reccomend the HyperX Cloud II , its gotten really good reviews and is one of the most popular higher end headsets.
However, if you want to stick with speakers on the other hand, I'm not sure what speakers you should get as i havent researched or learnt anything about them yet.
Drops to this price +/- $5 fairly often, looks like it's back on sale again.
No deals on the white version sadly.
I've had both the black and white versions, I personally prefer the white because it uses the glossy plastic instead of the matte soft-touch that the black version uses. Black holds finger oil/gunk and is not as easy to clean as the gloss is.
Overall I really like this mouse. It has a few extra functions w/o being overkill. Forwards and backwards button, the Sniper button to drop your DPI at the click of it and 5 level on the fly DPI adjustment is really nice also.
I have pretty big hands and they cover it. Fully. My point lol Which was surprising because I felt like it was going to be a lot bigger. With 1/4" of my fingers hanging off of the front of the mouse (it's actually really comfortable that way for me) it's just long enough to keep the very base of my palm off of the desk.
Great tracking and overall I really like it. Note: It does not have side-to-side click on the mouse wheel. I accidentally broke my first one trying to "loosen it up" because I thought mine was just stiff. lol.
I use the Corsair M65, no problems there and it's only $50.

I second this! I was about to say this but it was done first https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D63UU52/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
What is the benefit of this mouse over the pro? https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Gaming-Mouse-Backlit-Optical/dp/B01D63UU52
I'm not personally a fan of either, depending on your budget, which appears to be about 60$, I'd go for Corsair M65, or Logitech G502.
For FPS RGB I recommend the corsair M65 Pro you get 2 easy to program buttons and a whole heck of a lot of color/ DPI customization! For lots of buttons (but not a moba or MMO mouse) check out the logitech G700 it's smooth, ergonomic and comes with 4 undefined programmable buttons, or up to 8 if you change some of the mouse function buttons that allow you to quick swap the DPI or cycle the profiles. If a mobo mouse looks like your thing, look at the Razor Mobo or Razer MMO they are sleek and easy to use, although in my opinion overpriced (call it the razer tax) Finally as a good all rounder, check out the Logitech G502 it's a well rounded although pricier mouse with subtle RGB and great smoothing.
I personally own/have owned every one of the mice listed except the Razer Moba and my preference is the G502 but my current mouse is the M65 pro since it feels more comfortable for day to day things and matches my keyboard.
Really comfortable for me personally and good build quality.
So I just did a little bit more research on the mouse you pointed out to me, and apparently it is different from this mouse) (if you click on the Corsair Vengeance M65 Performance FPS Gaming Mouse that I linked before, basically it was upgraded to this one, the Corsair Gaming M65 FPS Gaming Mouse).
If you look at the M65 FPS Gaming Mouse, it looks similar to the one you linked, with the red sniper button and everything, except it does not look as decent and it is considerably cheaper.
My question is, then, what is the difference between these two?
