Cuba is communist and has a longer life expectancy, universal free health care, a vaccine for lung cancer, several vaccines for CoViD, far less heart disease, and much better average medical outcomes than the US.

There's no medical bankruptcy and Cuba sends doctors all over the world.

Medical progress is a technical matter solely based upon the will of the governing class to distribute resources and encourage research.

It's exactly in for-profit health care that capitalists cannot make profit, so have created the insurance systems we have today - with average WORSE outcomes than socialist or communist directed programs.
