This thing. Used it to strip the black decals on the middle posts between the side windows. Peeled off what I could and hit it with this. Works like a dream

Try out one of these. I hear good things for getting off glue without removing the paint underneath but I haven't used one before.
There’s an eraser for doing this. 3M Stripe Off Wheel Adhesive Remover Eraser Wheel Removes Decals, Stripes, Vinyl, Tapes and Graphics 4” diameter x 5/8” thick 3/8-16 threaded mandrel 07498 Pack of 1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00063VT0G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_C95BBX9RBGGFS52P4CCE

These work well. I find em at the auto parts store.
My buddy had massive company decals on his van.. gone.
Acetone will damage certain types of plastic. In order to know whether it will damage the Odin's shell, you'd have to know what type of plastic it is and then cross-reference that with a solvent compatibility chart. From experience, I know that acetone is not compatible with acrylic and whatever plastic the wheels on Hot Wheels cars are made out of.
Even with a small amount of acetone that's washed off immediately after, there's a risk of causing irreparable damage. A better solution is to get an eraser wheel which would attach to a power drill, and then strip off the logo without using any solvent at all.

I used a 3M Eraser Wheel and I worked great. A little pricey, but worth it. Probably easier on a warm sunny day. Have some GooGone on hand to wipe off any remaining adhesive.

I have not used this so can't speak to how well it works. I was watching a video where someone was restoring a camper and needed to remove some faded graphics. It looked like it did a good job but I believe they went through a few of them.

Nice, will being out that black beautifully.
Body shops uses a special rubber wheel on the end of a grinder that acts like an eraser that melts the adhesive but doesn’t damage the clear coat. 3M Stripe Off Wheel Adhesive Remover Eraser Wheel Removes Decals, Stripes, Vinyl, Tapes and Graphics 4” diameter x 5/8” thick 3/8-16 threaded mandrel 07498 Pack of 1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00063VT0G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_DSSH1XZ82W4GKQ43G6GT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Just have to be careful not to go too fast to burn through the clear coat if you use a drill

Started with that but finished with a heat gun and a razor blade because I was afraid to scratch the paint lol
I use a car sticker remover. It attaches to a drill and is gummy and will peal this right off. This link is for amazon but your local hardware store will have them as well. I painted cars in the past. DO NOT GET THE METAL HOT. KEEP MOVING LIKE USING A BUFFER.

Well, we have pulled most of the rubber (?) trim with the red strip off, and the glue and paint (?) under it is all there chipping off.
We were going to try a 3M adhesive/decal remover wheel on it. Really hoping it will work.
Once we remove the flares, I will update on how well it works.
3m Stripe-Off wheel. https://www.amazon.com/3M-Stripe-Wheel-Mandrel-Diameter/dp/B00063VT0G
You'll have it off in about 10 seconds. Tool is really really useful for all kinds of other things too, without harming the finish of what you are working on.
If they are cracked, they probably won't peel of nicely (i.e. they'll come off in tiny pieces instead). I would invest in an eraser wheel (you'll need a drill). They are about the same price as a heat gun anyways.
Have to be really careful using a heat source, you can and will fuck up your paint if you are not paying attention. I would only use that method as a last effort.
I used to work in a auto body shop years ago. We used a tool similar to this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00063VT0G/?tag=stackoverfl08-20 Looks like they really changed the design of it and improved how it works, but still the same concept.
Works really well to get it off pin stripes and stickers, then you can just use a cleaner to get off the reside. Word of caution, you still need to pay attention to not damage your paint. It still gets hot at the contact surface and will damage the paint if you let it sit there. The benefit to use this vs a heat gun is its WAY less heat, you don't need to scrape (chances of scratching your paint), and its fun. :)
If you decide to go with a pinstripe removal wheel, be careful! It's VERY easy to burn your clear coat with these things.
One of these a cordless drill... Gone in seconds
If it is real sticky you will need one of these
Ok. Update, got plastic razor blades and tried higher heat on the other side I hadn’t touched. Same result. Used a 3M stripe wheel I bought off Amazon and it came off like a dream. Manage the RPM and don’t leave excessively hard or stay in one area for too long and no damage to paint.
3m sticker remover
An eraser wheel like this for a power drill: https://www.amazon.com/Adhesive-Remover-Graphics-diameter-threaded/dp/B00063VT0G/ref=pd_lpo_1?pd_rd_i=B00063VT0G&psc=1
It's the best way to remove old stickers and decals, I have been using them for years on old stubborn decals and trim on cars. Just use a bit of your favorite cleaner afterward to get the leftover residue. Here is random youtube vid to show you how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WZQ-EDInZI
3M Eraser wheel attached to a cordless drill.
Lots of videos on YouTube showing how to use the wheel.
You can get the eraser wheel at a number of different places. I got mine from Amazon.
I have had to use one of these sometimes with stubborn adhesive -- https://www.amazon.com/Adhesive-Remover-Graphics-diameter-threaded/dp/B00063VT0G/
This is my preferred method of removing stickers on cars.

https://www.amazon.com/Stripe-Wheel-07498-Diameter-Mandrel/dp/B00063VT0G best thing ever for removing glue/adhesives from a car. Unless it's a lot of surface area to remove, I suggest taking your time and just doing it by hand.

That will get easily rid of the gunk leftover by the plastic molding on your doors.
One of those 3M adhesive removal wheels would have been handy here.
I plan to use dental floss, a hair dryer and I bought the 3M Adhesive Removal Wheel for the left over sticky tape that will be hard to come off.
Here is how I found out about the 3M Adhesive Removal Wheel and Dental Floss:
I did mine after a year of ownership. Used trim tools to pop them off, then a de-striping wheel with goo-gone. Took about 30 min total.

I would start with a 3M adhesive remover wheel and then polish by hand.
3m stripe wheel, it's an eraser in the the shape of wheel that attaches to a power drill that is used to remove stripes, adhesive, tape...
But seriously, super easy to do if you have a drill, fun and fast.
