Keep an eye out for the Cuisinart CPG-6000. The price fluctuates a ton as you can see on camelcamelcamel. Keep checking it daily and you're bound to get it for a really good price.
It's identical to the ZGrills 700 for a lower price. It's also the same design (identical grill again) as the Grilla Grills Silverbac so you can purchase (better) parts from them that fit this grill if you ever need to replace anything in the future. It also comes with a cover.
You can also upgrade the controller very easily. Savannah Stoker, Grilla Grills Silverbac Alpha, Smoke Daddy Pellet Pro, or Smoke Daddy Patriot (w/ WiFi option) are all direct replacements.
I have the ZGrills 700E and am happy with it. I haven't had any issues with it for over 2 years now.

The only thing really lacking is the non-PID controller which you can upgrade to and still be below $600. There's no need to purchase one right away but you can look at Savannah Stoker, Grilla Grills Silverbac Alpha, Smoke Daddy Pellet Pro, or Smoke Daddy Patriot (w/ WiFi option) to get a feel of what's out there.
ZGrill gets my vote. I have the ZGrills 700E and am happy with it. I haven't had any issues with it for over 1.5 years. Many long smokes and weekly grillings.

I would look at either Grilla Grills Chimp. They are the best bang for your buck with all stainless interior, double walled, thick metal, PID controller, portable, and top tier customer service. Rummage around /r/pelletgrills as well.

Edit This thread has the ZGrills 700D which is the EXACT same grills as the Cuisinart I linked for $299. That's a killer deal if you can find it!
