Bought em, you can probably find them cheaper somewhere else, but free two day shipping and all, I think amazon is your best bet

There is a small plastic pin that sometimes falls out of the POTS switches. If you are handy and can handle a tweezers you can pop it right back into place. It might be a good idea to upgrade your rubber thumbsticks with the Aluminum knurled ones while you have it open.
You might try third-party aluminum replacement sticks like these. I've never tried them though so I don't know how good they are.
You should've mentioned this in the original post. If 100% durability is what you're after, then forget these half-way solutions. Get these, and you'll never have to worry about peeling again. I've installed them on one of my 4 controllers, and it's my go-to controller right now:

These are the ones I bought. They aren't actually dark gray, they're more chrome looking, but they look good. They fit perfectly, same size as the stock ones. I think it makes the controller feel a little more premium or something.
I noticed there was a review about them not fitting right though. Mine fit fine.
I haven't had any controllers completely break on me (bought two on day 1 release and one additional controller a few months later), but I have had to take them apart several times to clean them. The only adjustment I have done is replace the stock thumb grips with metal thumb grips (link). I usually try to clean the connectors and buttons with alcohol once or twice a year. I would also suggest replacing/upgrading the battery and possibly buying new springs for L2/R2.
That one. Mind you, if you want to use it aswell, you have to grind and sand the hole around it so it fits. Also something to thicken the rod on the analog so that the thumbstick would be sturdy.. I used just some regular tape to thicken it.. It's really ghetto, but if something sounds stupid, yet it works, it ain't stupid..

I'm on mobile so I'm not quite sure if the link will work.
I personally recommend a set of aluminum sticks as a replacement. I did a swap and swear by these now:
One word of warning, really make sure you take care during your disassembly and reassembly of the controller. It isn't too difficult, but I did end up damaging the ribbon that attached the touchpad to the controller such that I had to replace it. Just make sure to be very delicate and follow a good set of instructions if this is your first time opening one up.
Amazon, they ship from china so it takes a while. I ordered one set to see if I liked them and a second set about a month after from the same retailer in a different color. The over all shape is the same, but the first set I got has a much more defined ridge. The shape is about the same as the XB1 sticks.
It looks like the listing has updated mine didn't come with the D-pad, and didn't qualify for Prime shipping.
i'm gonna save your guys' lives.
you're welcome.
i replaced my sticks in both my controllers a little after my rubber ends started wearing away.
use them. love them. develop callouses with them. currently have a ridiculous callous on my left thumb because yeah, sometimes shit gets intense. these dont give at all, still the exact same as i got them the first day.
enjoy!
I went through 3 replacements of my left stick before finally buying machined aluminum sticks.
I love the weighty feel to them and the ridges and I have been using them for months and they feel exactly the same as day one. I would definitely recommend these before trying to put new stock sticks back in.
> Is this the english or american amazon? can you share a link ? :D

Depending on the aluminum amazon sticks, they all look similar but seem different in person, these work when testing
