It's not a very good deal tbh. There's a few new prebuilts in the $600- $700 range on Amazon that are way better priced and you won't be restricted to an OEM case that's just a nightmare to upgrade.
Quick search found this prebuilt.
I would go with this instead
on sale for 699, it's new, has a superior CPU, and a superior GPU, the two most important parts of the system.
Lacks an SSD, but SSDs are only $40 dollars these days, so you can easily add it yourself (just buy a SATA3 cable to connect to motherboard), and install windows 10 onto it.
For gaming, especially just fortnite types of games, 8GB of RAM is plenty.
If you want to buy the local PC, maybe show him this amazon deal as a bargaining tool, and tell him to bring that deal down to $550, then I think it'd be more worth it.
I know... Prebuilt.. blah... Blah.. lol.
There's one on amazon for $739. it's a prebuilt, but it has good reviews
It's the bestseller oculus certified PC on amazon (4.5 stars). It's just a basic min spec setup
-8th gen i5
-rx 580
-8 gb ram
But it has plenty of good reviews. I think even linus tech tips tested one and said for a budget vr pc, it's decent enough for the price.
No, because for $200 less (at Amazon) you can buy a prebuilt with the same processor but an RX 580 instead of a 1050 Ti. For $150 you can upgrade the RAM to 16GB and grab a 120GB SSD to add if you wish. However I still would recommend building your own- watch some YouTube tutorials and such, it's really quite easy even for a first-time builder.
How much are you willing to spend on a computer? This one on Amazon is pretty solid for an entry level. Actually, it's a pretty solid PC all around and could play lots of AAA titles on mid-high to high settings. It's also easily upgradable for the future. The good thing about games like Realm and Fortnight is you don't need a beefy computer to run them, so you could even find cheaper options around the $600 range.
I have yet to find a VR game I can’t run on max settings with this rig. $740 on amazon and highly upgradable. Only thing I’ve done to it was add an SSD for $80. Could get this and a used vive and come in under budget.

cyberpowerpc on Amazon makes good prebuilts
throw an ssd in there and you are set
I'm in bed so not gonna search more but a quick search on amazon hit this, $50 more and blows that system out of the water.
This one off amazon might be your best bet, little over price range. I will also give you a pcpp list with probably lower specs in your price range. Assume you need windows too.
PC Gaming is much cheaper than it used to be, here is a really good prebuilt on Amazon for $700 https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1533185086&sr=1-1&keywords=gaming+pc
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B6H4GNY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_bnYyBb66D1874
This is $699 on Amazon
I’m about to drop $800 for the upgraded version of this (GTX 1060 instead of RX 580, added 120gb of SSD along with 1tb of HDD). It has great reviews and a ton of reviews. Everyone seems to be saying this is the good hardware for a great price. Biggest bang for your buck. Just my suggestion.
this prebuilt I found on amazon is cheaper https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1538954947&sr=1-1&keywords=gaming+pc&refinements=p_36%3A-100000
My only suggestion to swap is the PSU, all prebuilt psu's are shaky
This is the pre built I own: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B6H4GNY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_f647FbTSWTXHQ
But yes, I get stuttering even on ultra/high settings with no mods installed. The wilderness is fine, but it's when I transition from say the outskirts of Novigrad into a village, I will get a brief drop from 60fps to 59 or 58. It's not a huge drop itself, but it causes a stutter, which freezes the game for a very short micro second. This is noticeable and annoying. It also happens with Sekiro. The exact same problem. I have no trouble achieving 60fps for games, but I get these stutters of 1fps loss. Happens with so many titles; Dark Souls 3, Sekiro, Witcher 3, Mordhau, Kingdom Come Deliverance ect.
I run my games at 1080p, usually with Vsync otherwise I get horrible screen-tear.
https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY
Based on the Amazon listing above, this PC doesn't have an SSD, which would definitely improve day to day usage of the OS and speed up loading times in games. Other than that, a GPU upgrade would be in order, as long as the power supply can handle it.
CPU is probably fine right now, but getting an i7 8700 in a few years would extend the system's life.
I would get a used SSD with a DRAM cache (Samsung 850 Evo, for example) and a used 1070 (~25% performance gain over the 580)
Assuming it's this pc (https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY)
He could look into getting more ram, better GPU and finally a better CPU.
Optional an SSD, it will definitely make things feel less slower, games will load faster and less hangups.
If he does upgrade, his ram. He needs to make sure, he gets the same type of 8gb ram.
At that price point i believe there is a good Cyberpower PC deal on amazon with 8400 + rx580. Once you typically hit $1000 price point then DIY is usually better by far.
edit: this one and probably just add a SSD yourself for $50-70
i got this pc off of AMAZON for 730$, how badly did i get scammed?
specs for those who don't want to check (that i know of, i dont know much about computers)

I personally bought a CyberpowerPC and think its great, no issues. I also upgraded many things on it, so it can make a great base that you can add to when you're able
This was the Amazon #1 recommend for gaming pc back in July or August:
It ended up being super loud and heats up in 5 minutes of GW2 running, plus the sucky graphic.
And I mentioned I like to stay under $1200 budget. :/
> do you have any recommendations my budget is 900
You should definitely do your do-diligence on this as I'm not the best source for that kind of information. However, a quick look at Amazon got me this result. The specs seem to offer pretty decent mid-range performance, and comes with a keyboard and mouse. It doesn't come with a monitor, so you'll need to look into that.
Maybe check out that subreddit the other guy posted. Ask them for suggestions.
Check this out on Amazon: $779 CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Xtreme GXIVR8020A5 .. just add a monitor.

price was $699 when I got it so maybe wait for the price to drop again, or not. After comparing the parts prices to this rig, I don't think I could built this rig for cheaper myself, which is why I got 2 of them. Comes with a keyboard and mouse, but you will have to have monitor or TV, probably an HDMI cable (can get an amazon one for cheap).
Only thing I would recommend would be to replace the 1 TB HDD with a 1 TB SSD drive. This rig runs the game amazingly well, but man are the load times terrible, and I isolated that to it not having an SSD drive. I plan to get one myself.
Something like this would do the job. Really any desktop with a decent CPU and dedicated graphics card (either Nvidia or AMD graphics, not intel) will do what you're looking for.
not a very good deal.
This PC is quite a bit better, and costs $250 less. Just need an SSD, but you could add one yourself quite easily.
It really depends on what u are doing u can get really solid prebuilt gaming pcs on Amazon for 800 like this one is what I currently have. CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Xtreme GXIVR8020A5 Desktop Gaming PC (Intel i5-8400 6 Core Processor, AMD RX 580 4GB, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB 7200RPM HDD, WiFi, Win 10 Home 64-bit), Black - VR Ready https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B6H4GNY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_DdCHBbSRZ19D9
Firwolf has suggested this one multiple times and I agree it is a good money to to performance computer.
$500 or less is usually in APU territory or buying used and buying a graphics card to put in it.
Could consider this one, bit more expensive though. https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1533241553&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=cyberpowerpc&psc=1
This one should fit your needs, but it would be much cheaper to build a Pc .. I payed ~450€ for:
i3 7300 3,9GHz 250GB SSD NVidia GT 1030 (you could also buy a used GPU for a better Peformance for the same money) Asus H110M Mini ITX Mainboard 8GB 2133Mhz DDR 4 Ram Plus Powersupply and Case
EDIT: Forgot to mention the setup in the link doesn't include a SDD. Also for WoW a higher Clockspeed is better than more cores.

If you're looking for something more high end you should really build yourself.
Specs wise it's decent for a 1080p gaming machine, but it's a bit overpriced. I don't know what power supply it has, but probably a proprietary one since the motherboard is proprietary as well, so it will be difficult if not impossible to upgrade. Someone in the Q&A mentions that they put a GTX 1080 in there and it works fine though, so the power supply is probably not too crappy, which is usually the biggest concern with prebuilts. CPU is non-upgradeable it seems but that's not a problem since there's practically no upgrade path with the i7-8700 anyway.
Overall it's a decent deal if you don't mind the ~$100 prebuilt tax. Though personally I don't recommend something with a proprietary power supply.
Edit:
I found this PC which I think is a better option. The CPU is not as powerful but still plenty enough for gaming, the GPU is better, the motherboard is not proprietary so the CPU can be upgraded, and the power supply is also not proprietary and you should replace it immediately because reviews say it's a terrible one.
Use the saved money to buy a new power supply and a cheap SSD.
You seem like you have knowledge. In your expert opinion, is this a better computer to get? It's $700 pre-built gaming PC. https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1533130625&sr=1-1&keywords=gaming+pc
Here’s a prebuilt, throw an ssd in it and it’ll be great but, you should build one yourself. It’ll be way better.
None of those PCs you listed can game
Most of us feel prebuilts are overpriced...but this should help illustrate just how overpriced the one you are looking at is.
You could add an SSD to this build for less than $100 and be golden for less than that used PC you are looking at
https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-Xtreme-GXiVR8060A5-i5-8400-GeForce/dp/B07B6H4GNY?th=1
The 580 is better than the 1060 for a much lower price, buy an mx500 500gb ssd, and maybe get a better power supply. Not much upgradability besides GPU, but it would be easily capable of 1080p60 in a plethora of games.
Nope, it will run like absolute shit. I originally got R6 on a DESKTOP from the same year, and it stuttered on the lowest settings.
Side note- if your looking for a cheap, decent gaming computer for beginners, I would recommend this desktop: https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3qHQytfY2wIVEbnACh3q5Q8SEAAYASAAEgIRJPD_BwE&hvadid=219987882418&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=9019596&hvnetw=g&hvpos=1t1&hvqmt=e&a...
It also comes with a gaming mouse and keyboard
I still think this PC is better
$50 more, but has a better GPU. An extra 1GB of VRAM will benefit you in a couple of years when games start to rely on more graphics memory.
hello, i want to get into pc gaming and i am looking to get a prebuilt pc on amazon that costs $700, heres the link to it link. i was wondering if i can get the parts myself to save money while maintaining the same performance, it would be nice if i could get partpicker links or just anything in general, thanks.
CyberpowerPC is decent, especially if you buy them on Amazon. For a while there, they were priced below component prices, since GPUs were selling for much higher than MSRP during the BTC price spike at the end of last year. Now they’re at conponent price plus 10-20% depending on the exact model, and current pricing. I’d check them out first personally, and am more than happy with the rig I got from them for ~$800 last year. It runs the current client on 9 with anywhere from 50-100 (the max on my monitor) FPS.
This model is pretty decent and would run the current client very well. https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY?th=1
You will want to buy an ssd and swap that in, if you go with their sub $1k models, but that’s pretty easy, and they use really roomy cases that make tasks of that nature trivial.
As someone that’s owned 2 higher end gaming laptops, I’d caution you away from pursuing that specific option. Gaming laptops generally run about 2x the cost of a desktop, that can outperform them by 10% or so FPS. Both of my gaming laptops were in the $3k range and I would have been better served with a $1400 desktop, in both cases.
They also aren’t generally upgradeable, outside of RAM and maybe the HD if you’re comfortable with taking them apart. GPUs on Laptops aren’t user serviceable and you’re usually locked behind minimal options when it comes to upgrading your CPU.
Sorry, must have typed it in wrong. This is the computer I mentioned.
CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Xtreme GXIVR8020A5 Desktop Gaming PC (Intel i5-8400 6 Core Processor, AMD RX 580 4GB, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB 7200RPM HDD, WiFi, Win 10 Home 64-bit), Black - VR Ready https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B6H4GNY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_6KCtBb49964FZ
Are you US based? This prebuilt below is a great deal, looks awesome, and has great midrange hardware for gaming. Would want to add an SDD though.
The one i sent before doesn't ship to Canada but the same one on Canadian amazon prime is for 1500 and the one you sent adds up to 1400 and i cant use my Amazon Student Prime on it. I ended up finding this let me know if this is good for the price im going to use it for editing and gaming.
Seems a bit overpriced for the specs it offers. If it had 16gb of ram with a ssd and a gtx 1060 6gb then it would be a good deal. This costs $700 it has a slightly faster graphics card with more vram for much less. You may want a ram upgrade but it's up to you.
Or you could just buy this one, which already comes packing a stronger CPU/GPU at around the same price.
PCPartPicker much?
And yeah you're over-spending, you can buy one of the highest-reviewed pre-built towers I've ever seen for $700 right now.
I should be getting royalties for how often I point that out.
For 719 it's an OK deal. Lacks an SSD and only has 3GB of VRAM. Also uses an older 7th gen i5, whereas the 8th gen i5 is quite a bit better. There is a lot of articles, youtube videos about whether 3GB of VRAM is enough in 2018. The consensus is that, yes, for 1080p, it's fine for now. But in a few years, there is a chance most newer titles will need more VRAM.
Your alternative is this machine
Has the rX580 4GB card, which is superior to the gtx 1060 3GB. It also sports the i5 8400, which is better than the i5 7400. A lot of people in this subreddit, as well in the online reviews, warn of the PSU being pretty crummy. There is a chance with this machine that you'll need to replace the PSU entirely with something of better quality. It's not too hard, but it sort of defeats the purpose of buying a prebuilt if you have to reassemble your PC later on.
The HP omen may also have a crappy PSU, but unfortunately that is just how the world goes in Prebuilt Land. The only way to guarantee quality parts is to buy a custom PC that lets you choose the brand of your parts, or build one yourself. Any time you grab something off the shelf, you can bet the company skimped on some parts here and there.
The PC I linked also lacks an SSD -- I highly recommend you buy one separately and install it yourself. It's very easy to do, and will make a world's difference in the overall performance and speed of your machine.
I think $600 for a 7th gen i5 and only 3gb version of the 1060, all used parts, is too much. you can get an i5 8400 + rx 580 for $730 brand new
Get him down to $500-550
Nah, they don't make them, but they advertise a pretty damn good PC from Cyberpower when you go to "gaming PCs" labelled as the "PC Gaming Essential."
It's this one if you're interested.
Ordinarily I would just say zero dollars.
But if you just have to avoid building yourself, that depends on your budget. There are a lot of capable competitive pre-built towers nowadays.
For instance, you'd be hard-pressed to beat this this tower for the price even without paying someone to do it for you.
If you're talking a build with a GTX 1070 Ti or better, yeah go for it. $50 to $100 would be reasonable accounting for their time, materials and profit.
Ah gotcha. I'll check slots tmrw but from what I've heard my pc model is pretty upgradable so it should work with just buying another stick as you said. I believe I have a 8GB DDR4 RAM
Here's the link to the pc I bought: CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Xtreme GXIVR8020A5 Desktop Gaming PC (Intel i5-8400 6 Core Processor, AMD RX 580 4GB, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB 7200RPM HDD, WiFi, Win 10 Home 64-bit), Black - VR Ready https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B6H4GNY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_HUNhBbJG9AEAY
WoW isn't something I'd run on a laptop as it relies heavily on the CPU to perform. As for what to build or buy, that depends on your budget.
If you're in the $500 range you should be able to pair a used/refurbished office computer like an Optiplex with an i5-3570 or better with a GTX 1050 Ti (a few select models of office computer like the HP Z220 have 400W power supplies and should be able to handle a GTX 1060 even).
$700 to $800 range I'd just buy [https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY/](this) with a monitor and maybe a better mouse/keyboard and call it good. Difficult to build a competing platform in this range at the same price.
If you want specs above that, well that is the time to consider building yourself. WoW doesn't really need much more than the former to play comfortably on a 1080p monitor though.
The FX-6300 is a 6 year old CPU that has no business being paired with a modern GPU. If I were you I'd spend an extra 50$ and get this:
It has a vastly superior CPU, significantly better GPU, and includes a mouse and keyboard.
Link this prebuilt to your friend, save him some money.

If you really want to go custom Ryzen, check this build out. He could drop to the ram to 8GB to upgrade to a RX 580 8GB or spend the money on a SSD.

>$1500-$2000 in PC you need.
Thats not true.
I have seen even better deals but you can run VR for much cheaper then 1500-2000 dollars.
It's probably because that's been on Amazon for some time.
That, and this one exists which absolutely clobbers this pre-built for $100 more.
I’m not Canadian, but I’ll try to help.
This PC is a great build with an awesome CPU and a decent GPU but lacks both an SSD and 16 gigs of RAM, both necessary for future-proofing. (The SSD is necessary now, but you can hold off with 8 gigs of ram) Sadly, I can’t find builds that are less than 1k CAD with anything similar or better than this with more RAM or an SSD.
I recommend getting a separate SSD like this. (You can always do the cheaper 250 gb variant for less money). I recommend this SSD because it is one of the fastest and comes with amazing Windows 10 cloning software. this guide is how I installed mine (just ignore the laptop specific parts like removing the battery. You can then order a SATA wire like this one to install your SSD. (If you don’t know where in the case you should put your SSD, just use 3M or double sided tape and tape it someone aesthetically pleasing on the bottom of the case.
The sata cables should be obvious where to install (on the right side of the motherboard, usually stacked on top of each other, slightly above or below the GPU), otherwise, you can look up your motherboard to find the SATA slots. Then just install the cloning software and follow the guide. When you need more RAM, look at the PCs ram slot and order another 8 gig stick (if there is only 1 stick of 8 gigs), otherwise, just order 16 gigs of any DDR4 ram you want. I’m sorry you need to do work to get a fully future proof machine, but remember this isn’t 100% needed, just highly recommended. (Plus you can save 100 bucks from your paycheck a few weeks from now for the SSD, you don’t need it the second u get ur pc. Good luck, let me know if you need any help!
P.S You don’t even need a big SSD, just something to hold Windows 10 and programs like Steam and Chrome. Big stuff like games can go on the HDD

fyi if the computer hasn't arrived yet this amazon computer went on sale for a crazy amount and it has a much better cpu even better than the microcenter's cpu. The graphics card and the ram are the same. The acer computer was a good deal because it cost around the same as the pcparpicker but since you didnt use the promocode for $50 more this is a great deal. The acer deal still is good so if you dont want to go through the trouble then that is fine. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B6H4GNY/ref=s9_acsd_simh_hd_bw_b2N0U_c_x_1_w?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-4&pf_rd_r=YWCNAX8EDQVEBWVBXDKG&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=6d4e7f61-088b-5959-8ceb-2876233163b3&pf_rd_i=565098
This is a good option:
$740
great value

This has an overclocked graphics card compared to the amazon computer. The cpu is worse for gaming but much better for multitasking.
You can downgrade the cpu or the ram and save much more whilst still getting a more than capable system
gtx 1070
The advantage of this computer is that it has more and faster ram than the other computers, a much more powerful cpu, and a much faster gpu. You can downgrade the cpu in the components menu to the same one as the cyberpowerpc to save some money.

You REALLY need a new PC. Good news is, you can get one that meets the minimum spec for $750 or so. Here's one I found on Amazon:
Consider spending more...but if you are on a tight budget, this will do for now!
(I get no referral $$ from Amazon...if you want, just go to amazon.com and search for "VR Ready PC" and you will find a bunch of options.
That's not setting the bar very high, and actually you can get identical performance to that pre-built tower with literally less than $400 if you don't mind buying used. Or even as far as pre-builts go there's far better on Amazon for $700.
It's not glamorous but it puts the pixels on the screen.
Used pre-built example:
I tend to choose this tower because it comes with a beefier power supply than most other office computers, namely it can handle a GTX 1060 off the bat. A 3GB version of the GTX 1060 is safer as it is less likely to have been used to mine. All-in-all this build beats the pre-built you posted with $380ish, and due to the hyperthreading it's not far behind the pre-built I posted with nearly half the cost.
I purchase my computer fully built from Amazon. I also have an SSD, which is most of the reason for quick loading times.
Looks like its a year newer than this model. Probably has an AMD Radeon RX 580 in it.
Whats odd though, is the Cyberpower that uses the i5-9400f is a different SKU. I can't find reference to the SKU in the photo with the same exact CPU.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B6H4GNY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
this is the Amazon page for the prebuilt i bought
I'm not sure what temps are good for this system but when I watched the temps during games it would reach up to 70 or 80 so I took the front of the case off.
There are a bunch of much better deals not on amazon.(gtx 1070s with the same or better cpu for a similar price to the Acer Aspire Workstation)
$730+$80 for ram
This has a slightly faster graphics card and an on par cpu gaming wise with the ryzen 7. The cpu has a very good gaming workstation score but for video editing or multitasking the ryzen 7 is much better. You may have to purchase 8gb of ram from amazon as well so the machine has as much ram as the $1100 computer. Even with that factored in this is still much cheaper than the Acer Aspire Workstation. http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-Ryzen-7-1700X-vs-Intel-Core-i5-8400/3915vs3939
A prebuilt PC will save you a lot of trouble and time especially if you have no experience but is usually $100 or more than if you build it yourself. There are some great deals out there though that can reduce that gap.
Here's a $750 prebuild: Amazon Link Prebuilt PCs also have limited warranty so do take note of that.
Similar specs (but probably slightly better quality) if you build yourself would actually cost a bit more ($790): https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zsfvvn
Note that it's still not best bang for the buck (580 4GB only, no SSD, bad PSU, etc.). Something like this would be better: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dXtnMZ
If you have more to spend, upgrade to 16GB of RAM.
Hey guys, I built my pc a few years ago but i am now in college and am unable to ship it here. I am about to buy a mid tier prebuilt pc + peripherals for my dorm room. I just want to make sure everything is compatible and i have everything i need, i dont want to realize that i am missing some important cable or something is not compatible. Links below!

Ive already done a fair bit of research so i think im good to go, but just wanted to get some other opinions! FYI I am pretty set on buying everything from amazon. Thanks guys!

cyberpower, its prebuilt https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY/ref=sr_1_5?crid=17OQP4ZMDX9TX&keywords=cyberpower+gaming+pc+i5+8400&qid=1577529559&sprefix=cyberpower+gaming+pc+i5%2Caps%2C163&sr=8-5 just so we're clear i bought used lol no way im paying $1500 for that lol
I do not know.. It's this.. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B6H4GNY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B6H4GNY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Tq.RDbX2NSX46 This was the pre build I bought, when I looked it up it said 500w
Here try this one, it's the one I use and it runs stuff like Rainbow Six at decently high graphics very well :)
https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY
Thank you so much for the help! I also saw this PC on amazon, any thoughts on this, thanks!
Also i am not absolutely sure on getting a dual monitor, when i looked around people said this is a good one. What are your thoughts on this? Thank you.
Also, if you have any keyboard or mouse you can recommend that would be great.
For a graphics card. you could look for something like a GTX 1050Ti or RX 570/80, as they perform well for their price range, and are good for 1080p gaming (RX 580 being the best out of the bunch). An AMD Ryzen or Intel 8th Gen CPU would be a really good upgrade. Ryzen 5 2600 + RX 580 would be a good pairing for all-around 1080p gaming at high settings. But it really depends on whether or not you want to build the PC yourself.
Try checking out YouTube channels like, LinusTechTips, Bitwit, PaulsHardware, JayzTwoCents, HardwareUnboxed. They have a lot of insightful videos and are very knowledgeable when it comes to stuff like this. I learned from these guys when getting into computers. This is a pretty good pre-built, don't know if it's in your budget, but thought I'd share an example, anyways. Probably would be cheaper just to keep your case, upgrade your motherboard/CPU and GPU, and maybe power supply. Would help knowing your current system specs.
It's $800 without a graphics card and then has options all the way up to $2k depending on the graphics card you have him put in it. I don't know anything about graphics cards and am not sure what I would actually need just to play a game like Overwatch. I've also been looking at this build on amazon that has a graphics card included and think it may be a better option. https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1550353914&sr=1-2&keywords=gaming+computer#customerReviews

assuming you dont have any knowledge of how to build or any of the peripherals (ie monitor, keyboard mouse) heres what I'd recomend
computer: buy prebuilt CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Xtreme GXIVR8020A5 Desktop Gaming PC (Intel i5-8400 6 Core Processor, AMD RX 580 4GB, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB 7200RPM HDD, WiFi, Win 10 Home 64-bit), Black - VR Ready https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B6H4GNY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_7hzbCbQKV1YWN
you can get a lot better of a system by building your own but if you're worried i'd completely understand

I did this all on the us amazon website for simplicity, but you can find the same parts for wherever you are
Don’t know if this is ok, but can someone please tell me if This Pc would be compatible with This 2TB hard drive ? Thank you guys so much!

> I got a wierd problem that occurs like once every 2 hours or so: Only the main screen (the other 2 stay normal) goes black/shuts off and then as it comes back takes a sec to readjust the resolution (the screen jumps up half a sec). This usually goes ok with many games (exept it, you know, goes black for a good 3 sec) and comes back exept for AC odyssey which crashes. I have reinstalled the gpu card (gtx 1070) drivers which doesn't change anything.

> ibuypower and cyberpowerpc are my go to recommendations
as someone just starting out, what makes them better than the other big names? /r/buildapc was dumping pretty hard on https://www.amazon.com/Dell-i5675-7806BLU-PUS-Inspiron-Desktop-i7-8700
while recommending https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY which seems to have lower stats all around
For prebuilt I find this one is decent: https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1538679530&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=gaming+desktop&dpPl=1&dpID=510JZUGMO6L&ref=plSrch. It goes on sale quite often too. If you're willing to build yourself expect to pay $600-1000. Here's a quick build I put together: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/t8y33b. Keep in mind you'll still need a mouse / keyboard / monitor / os(you can get windows for $5 off eBay). I'd personally suggest looking for a used graphic card / ram over at /r/hardwareswap though. Even though the games you listed aren't demanding I'd still suggest getting a gtx1060 or Rx 580 minimum as your first card.
Thoughts on CyberPowerPC brand?
Specifically looking at this PC:
The reviews on Amazon.ca says its good, but the reviews I found for CyberPowerPC doesn't seems good at all.
Alternatively was going to make: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/AlphaEtOmega/saved/#view=bhwyXL
But thats another story (since i'll probably change the case etc..)
Thanks in advance!
This is much better and can easily run games 1080p60 https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-Xtreme-GXiVR8060A5-i5-8400-GeForce/dp/B07B6H4GNY?th=1
No It's horrible.
https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY
This is a great prebuilt.
I still would reccomend you build.
Battlefield is very cpu heavy/ram heavy so you may have a bad time with battlefield.
This costs $780 and has a slightly faster gpu with more vram and a much faster 8th gen cpu. The price fluctuates from $700 to $780 so you may be able to get a better deal and use some money to purchase a 8gb ram stick rx 580 amazon desktop: http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=35520&game=Battlefield+V&p_make=Intel&p_deriv=Core+i5-8400+6-Core+2.8GHz&gc_make=ATI&gc_deriv=Radeon+RX+580+4GB&ram=8&checkSubmit=#systemrequirements
The next step up would be a gtx 1060 6gb with an 8th gen cpu but i don
https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY
Good deal for prebuilt
This is the prebuilt PC I’m playing on right now
An i5-8400 and GTX 1050 Ti build for $900? You can buy a tower already good to go for $739 on Amazon and comes with an RX 580 that presently performs on the same level as the GTX 1060 6GB. That being said if you're building for a card on the level of a GTX 1060 there's not much point in building a tower at all in economical terms.
Buy this used tower for like $215 with shipping, throw in used dual-fan EVGA GTX 1060 (for transferable warranty) for $180 and you've got all the power you need to smash 1080p 144hz at under $400.
Oh and yeah, I think the 6GB variant is overrated.
This is $700 and is a very good deal for the price. You could spend the rest of your money on a ram upgrade for less than $800.
This is another option that costs $650 and has a slower cpu but an overclocked version of the rx 580. The cpu can also be overclocked depending on the quality of the cpu cooler. 1% cashback + $10 also available using ebates:(https://www.ebates.com/r/DZITZ1?eeid=28187)(search bestbuy and click shop now use that browser window)
This isn't even on sale and you'll get about the same gaming on it.
i just bought this one on amazon prime day
https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY/
The rx 580 is an excellent card to get for that price. Most other websites have gtx 1050s or 1050tis priced around there. The next best computer is this:
The 2400g cpu is significantly weaker http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-Ryzen-5-2400G-vs-Intel-Core-i5-8400/m433194vs3939 but it does meet the cpu requirements for some the most demanding of games. http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=35520&game=Battlefield+V&p_make=AMD&p_deriv=Ryzen+5+2400G&gc_make=ATI&gc_deriv=Radeon+RX+580+4GB&ram=8&checkSubmit=#systemrequirements
To compare hardware I would recommend using userbenchmarks since it uses real benchmark data from people using the hardware. It also gives you percentile data so you know if the cpu or gpu is outdated. http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/
$1000
This computer has a good cpu and a gpu that has more vram and is slightly more powerful than the gtx 1060 3gb. The cpu is much more powerful than the 7400 http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-7400-vs-Intel-Core-i5-8400/3886vs3939 and the other computers' cpus. It appears to be upgradeable graphics card wise since the rx 580 takes up as much power as the gtx 1070 which is much faster but more expensive right now.
This computer is a good deal for the price:
$1000 + $130
It is has a slightly more powerful cpu than the bestbuy deal. http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-8400-vs-Intel-Core-i7-7700/3939vs3887 . It also has a slightly more powerful gpu than the bestbuy deal with more vram http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-RX-580-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1060-3GB/3923vs3646. The only issue is it doesn't have as much ram but you can always purchase and install ram for less than the price of the other computer. https://www.amazon.ca/Ballistix-Single-PC4-21300-288-Pin-Memory/dp/B01N5P755B/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1530566691&sr=1-1&keywords=ram+ddr4+8gb
Will this run well with the 58? Thanks for the response
When I was searching for my PC I came across this one: https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY/
Ended up buying something with more RAM, an SSD, and a better processor, but the graphics card in mine is the same as in the one I linked and it crushes Rocket League at 144fps max settings.
TBH you should just sell your console and buy a $1000 computer because consoles suck and PC is the obvious master race.
After doing a bit more searching, it looks like there are loads more pre-built plug-and-play desktops out there than I thought. I found a few more that my uninformed eye feels is reasonable?
The Dell claims to be upgrade-friendly in case you want to replace parts down the road, so conceivably, we could add in an SSD separately? Thoughts?
do you get taxed for buying from amazon.ca?

I recently got a new computer, which I am SUPER excited about. Here's the link to the computer. This is the first time I got a brand new computer, since I typically get hand-me-downs. With this new computer, I was able to run a lot of games really well. I played some games for the first time, one of these games being Hitman. I absolutely love the stealth in Hitman, it's just so satisfying. Learning the area and figuring out where items are and where I could knock a guy out so I can steal his disguise, I love it. The only stealth game I've experienced before was Payday 2, but in that game you can kill officers and security guards. In the stealth heists I played the target was money. In Hitman the target is a person you have to kill, and you can only kill that person. There are also so many ways to kill a person and so many ways to go about a mission too. The variety ups the replayability so much.
Aside from PC games, I've also been playing a lot on my Nintendo 3DS. Portability is so amazing, as long as you have games that you enjoy. Games I've been playing includes Shovel Knight (the 3D effect is great), Super Mario 3D Land, and Fantasy Life.
The game I want to win is Devil May Cry, though if that's not available then Abzu! Here's my Steam ID.
Are prebuilts out of the question?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B6H4GNY Better proc,GPU, has windows, keyboard and mouse. Downside is no ssd.
how about this prebuild?

CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Xtreme GXIVR8020A5 Desktop Gaming PC (Intel i5-8400 6 Core Processor, AMD RX 580 4GB, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB 7200RPM HDD, WiFi, Win 10 Home 64-bit), Black - VR Ready https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B6H4GNY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_slSnBb6T0C9K1
Yes, that's workable for a mid-range system. You could even push a higher tier if you happen to have all the peripherals like mouse, keyboard, monitor, speakers/headphones, ethernet cable or wireless adapter and etcetera.
I'll just assume this is not the case and start linking recommended hardware for your budget, starting with:
And you can probably fill out the rest cheap. Find a good rated mouse/mousepad/keyboard/speaker setup for $60 between them and you should be golden.
return it and get this

16 Gigs of memory and a R7 1700 CPU is very impressive for a Pre-Bulit under 1000. However, the Rx 550 is really underwhelming for an $800 PC. I’d say go for it if you don’t run too many heavy games, but if you do, here’s a Pre-Built on Amazon that would perform much better in most games for the same price in exchange for less Ram: https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1526083787&sr=1-1&keywords=Gaming+PC (Though let me go ahead and say, building a PC is much better value than either of these.)
Edit: Here is the comparison between the RX 580 and the RX 550: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-RX-580-vs-AMD-RX-550/3923vs3925
I’m thinking of buying a cyber power pc for gaming and streaming would this pc be good for what I need?

so amd rx 580
Did you even read my comment? BLD only makes sense at the high-end at under 1000 you can get a lot more bang for your buck, do to prebuilt companys getting the parts cheaper. Here i included a really good deal i found on amazon: https://www.amazon.com /CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1531215418&sr=1-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65
just remove the space first
What's your RAM? Are you running a lot of other processes? My setup is Intel i5-8400 6 Core Processor, AMD RX 580 4GB, 8GB DDR4 and it works really well. 60fps on VR Ultra. I use an Oculus Rift and launch via Oculus. I've noticed that Steam VR can be quite a heavy process.
I actually just bought this computer and it is the most bang for your buck I could find after 6 months of searching! When it goes on sale I actually costs less than buying the parts separate and putting it together... it will easily handle all you need it to but probably not 4K but it is upgradable! Then get an SSD for it.

Better of with this one for $750 https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY/
Should have checked yesterday. It was the Daily Deal for $650
Is that a pre-built PC? That should cost no more than $600, since you can get a similar build with a much faster graphics card for $700 on Amazon.
How much are they asking for the PC?

Throw in a 40$ ssd and its more than sufficient for 1080p60
Total cost is less than $1000. For people that want a headset better than Windows MR (which are still good), I'd also advise a Rift over a Vive in most cases.
