> Most streaming shows don't have DVD/Blueray
I'm trying to think of a single streaming service that hasn't released their streaming exclusives on DVD Bluray.
So Disney+ is actually the oddball by NOT releasing physical media of their exclusive shows. Keep in mind these streaming services released even more shows on disc, I just stopped posting after a single example from each.
Daredevil: The Complete First Season [Blu-ray] https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01M1XQ8F1/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_CNXPA37W4XQ0SDJ62KZ7
An official US Blu-Ray release for Season 1 has come and gone. It's currently out of print. But you can still find limited copies on Amazon for like $80 bucks.
An official international region free Blu-Ray release for season 1 and 2 exists and is worthwhile as well. Also available here and here on Amazon. No special features, but produced by Disney and can play on any Blu-Ray player.
If you look for them on ebay, a UK company called Zavvi also released official steelbooks for both seasons. They sold out and are now availble through auction if you are looking to find them.
Season 3 will probably not happen - nor will Defenders, as Netflix has abandoned the Marvel shows. It's possible in the future that they may release a Box set of some sort, but it's highly unlikely as they are looking to shed the brand with Disney moving into its own streaming network.
HOWEVER - Netflix has been releasing the HD seasons in digital market places (amazon, itunes, googleplay) about one year after it's initial streaming release on Netflix.
Hope this helps.
Daredevil Season 1 Blu-Ray
House of Cards Season 1 Blu-Ray
The Crown Seasons 1 & 2 Blu-Ray
Here are 3 very popular Netflix originals on Blu ray. I'm not sure what you're looking for that you aren't finding.
Yes but there's a difference between a Wall Street Journal article and a tweet. The tweet doesn't provide any sources. It's virtually useless.
As for Netflix having exclusive rights to distribute Daredevil, etc. ...
Very cool news... thanks for the heads-up!
The original source here is Amazon (without the affiliate link), as cited in the article that you posted. Please do try to post to the original source in the future!
EDIT: Again, this is great news. However, as both a moderator for this subreddit and (I believe) a founder or writer or employee for the site you linked to that includes (noted) affiliate links, I think that this particular linkjacking is pretty egregious. I know that you /u/murdockmanila, in particular, are aware of the problem this subreddit has with linkjacking (in particular, with MCU Exchange). By posting a link to MCU Exchange instead of Amazon, not only are you redirecting clicks from Amazon to the site that you are a part of, but you are also linking to a site that includes Amazon affiliate links that will directly monetarily help you. Not cool at all.
