Well, there is a Dark Souls Board Game, maybe you can get some gameplay inspiration from that! It's not cheap however, but you do get a lot of cool mini's to use in a Dark Souls campaign.
You can get the base game a couple of mega boss expansions and an area (base enemies and two bosses) expansion at Steamforged’s store. It’s a sure way to get it, but pricey.
Amazon currently has a few base core games in stock at a lower cost, and I’m sure you can find some cheaper expansions there, too.
There are a handful of Kickstarted exclusive items that won’t be available unless someone who was a part of it is selling theirs, and usually found on eBay and it’s not cheap. There’s also some expansions available for pre-order as the last wave of expansions are currently underway in shipping.

Not always the case, right now it is if they're looking to get it new. When I got my copy, Dark Souls was roughly $150 due to 3rd Party sellers.

Do you mean these 20 for 38$ = 0.52? Great now you have 20 tiny models which all look the same and can't be used for anything else. Oh and let's ignore the single character models which GW solds for 35$
