The graph is from Christian Rudder's Dataclysm, he is a skilled data scientist and he has access to the largest and most detailed collections of data regarding how we date and form interpersonal relationships. It's a very interesting book and much of it is especially relevant to the subjects of this sub.
Interesting, I think 10 million is a pretty high approximation. Generally speaking, startups (like Tinder) do a shitty job at leveraging (and monetizing) their data. OkCupid on the other hand... nails it. Then again, it was founded by mathematicians.
The OKCupid studies she's referencing can be found in this book written by one of the site's founders. It's much better thought out than the rambling speech in this video and even has better jokes.
Did you know that the founder of OkCupid wrote a book... using all of the data he collected from the site. It's quite possibly one of the most fascinating dissections of human behavior. It's appropriately titled, 'Dataclysm: Who We Are (When We Think No One's Looking)'.

Youth? Funny how data shows that men of almost any age prefer women in their early 20s while women have a more proportional age preference

This is the book they got it from: https://www.amazon.com/Dataclysm-When-Think-Ones-Looking/dp/0385347375/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1412948960&sr=8-1&keywords=dataclysm
I suppose you mean this graph.
Although I couldn't find the source for it, I think it's an easier-to-read version of the graphs on these articles:
https://www.businessinsider.com/dataclysm-shows-men-are-attracted-to-women-in-their-20s-2014-10
Which come from the book Dataclysm: Who We Are (When We Think No One's Looking) by Christian Rudder.

Ignore the article, check the graphs. When, on the whole, men of literally all ages find 20-21 year old women the most attractive, him saying that as a 25-26 year old isn't all that suspect.
You can google it, you'll find numerous sources but that one is from here apparently: https://www.amazon.com/Dataclysm-When-Think-Ones-Looking/dp/0385347375/

A cool book about exactly that: Dataclysm
Only in older (35ishish +) women. Even then, they prefer older men in general but not necessarily older than themselves.

They didn't. He's the founder of the company and he wrote a book on the subject of dating preferences.

Christian Rudder's book, Dataclysm, estimates about 5% of the population is gay (around 1 in 20), with a good explanation of the methodology used. The wikipedia article gives much lower estimates, with an explanation of why those numbers are the way they are.
If you're willing to use 5% as a baseline, divide the Enterprise's crew total by 20, and that's your expected value for gay crew.
