yep, i agree, an excellent piece of engaging writing. he also co-authored a book with [jem bendell](jembendell.com), that one's also worth a read, it's more about deep adaptation; jem bendell's framework of holistic adaptation to societal breakdown.
I would highly recommend looking into Deep Adaptation. There's a book written by the founders that does an amazing job of providing coping mechanisms and the means to identify a path forward in the face of our current reality. The founders are two philosophers/professors who have been affiliated with Extinction Rebellion in the past.
The book is a wonderfully sobering, bravely honest read and it really helped me to forge a new personal vision for the future. Granted, that vision and related goals are now quite different than they were even six months ago, but I feel like I'm now beginning to live and dream in spite of our stark reality.
I'm going to be WWOOFing for the next couple months and I reeeally hope to meet some likeminded folks with whom I can form a community and prepare to weather our coming storms. That's where I'm at right now, and I like my chances.
