Delay, Don't Deny, by Gin Stephens is my favourite. She's so enthusiastic and fun. Delay, Don't Deny
I've read Delay Don't Deny and Fast Feast Repeat by Gin Stephens, which are pretty good intro to IF type books that delve into some of the science, but mostly talk about it from a practical perspective. I've also read The Obesity Code by Dr. Jason Fung, which is definitely more science-heavy, but I still found it to be a very palatable read. There are plenty of other fasting books out there, but these are pretty much the ones I recommend for people just starting because they give you a super comprehensive and helpful rundown of fasting. And yeah, feel free to reach out with any questions, even weird ones, 'cause it is crazy the kind of changes IF can make to your body and sometimes you just need to check in with somebody else about them, lol.
I think Gin Stephens does a great job of talking about IF for especially older women. (Amazon link but your library probably has it) https://www.amazon.com/Delay-Dont-Deny-Intermittent-Lifestyle/dp/1541325842/ref=sr_1_3_nodl?ie=UTF8&qid=1546282344&sr=8-3&keywords=delay+don%27t+deny
Also Dr Sten Ekberg videos. He explains it in a very accessible way. https://youtu.be/fZhkFOCeZMQ
Agreed, she has to do it for herself, but maybe these sources can help.
