It's big in romance too, it's what I write. My first book got blocked and someone suggested it was the word "schoolgirl" so I now only use "student", even if they're set in the UK in an era where that word was never used. It's still "pupil" in most high schools.
But to not even be able to use "professor" - I mean for fuck's sake, it's getting beyond a joke. Particularly when they sell shit like this and this and this.
