Not too fine as I use a metal filter, the Able Standard filter.
At home I use a Delonghi burr grinder ([link]) and have it set to almost the most course setting (say, 8/10, 10 being most course)
This is the "professional" grinder we want to buy: [link]
And this is the hand grinder: [link]
so for pressurized protafilter... these would do
[link] £40 De'Longhi KG79
[link] £40 Krups Expert
or Handground which is around 60£..
but i dont think hario or any other cheap hand grinder can do the job.. when u buy any grinder just watch videos on that grinder on youtube..
I use this one, - [link]
Does the job
My work grinder is fairly cheap. Its a Delonghi one
you said "produce a grind suitable for a good french press"
My cheap grinder produces a good enough for french press grind. It's a delonghi and it does me just fine, otherwise I wouldn't recommend it like I do.
