If you said its bank 1 sensor 1 its definitely the front passenger side. On the path finder, or at least on mine, the plastic wheel liner was like smaller so i dint need to take it off.
Jack up the car, take the wheel off and the sensor is inserted right into the catalytic converter on the back left of where the tire would go. Auto zone rents the socket. Ask "can i get an 02 socket kit to rent. Theyll charge 30 bucks in case you steal it, but will refund when you return it. It will fit your standard 1/4 or 3/8 socket I forgot the size.
You but anti seize for like 2 dollars. Unplug the sensor, unscrew it, rub anti seize on the thread of the new sensor and screw it back in and plug in like normal. Shouldnt take more than 20-30 mins because its just a matter of take of the tire, the sensor should be clearly visible. Unplug, unscrew, replace, put tire back in.
As for the misfires, that automatically happens im telling you lol. Had bank 1 sensor 1 on my frontier, and I had misfires so i just replaced all the spark plugs.
On my pathfinder, the catalytics messed up and I got misfires, so I replaced both cats, both 02 sensors and all the spark plugs. Working just fine now.
You need 6 spark plugs, it is a huge hassle on these nissans tho cause you have to take the intake manifold off, the plastic cover etc, but all you need is 6 spark plugs, cost like 20 bucks at autozone. Buy antizeize for the threads, ask for the special sparplug socket at autozone. My dad had one and i don't think it was more than ten bucks.
