Saftey razor blades are like a dime a piece on amazon. That + a good German razor + shaving brush + hot water works like a charm.
I don't know if it's been said, but razor blades (particularly for men - double-edged razor blades are so much cheaper than the standard commercial option that you'll feel bad for having ever used them). Here's 100 blades for 10 dollars.
Feather is too sharp for me. Irritates my skin no matter how prepped for it I am. I have been using Derby
Unlikely, though it's still very cheap. It's less than a dime for sure, possibly less than a nickel.
EDIT: It's probably a penny per shave?
I use this Russian Rapira razor. I've find it's a good weight and length, never had any issue. It's a spin on head, not butterfly opening, which takes a bit longer to change blades, but holds the blade tighter. For blades I use Derby blades, 100 for $10.
I bought the below a year ago. Never firgured they were anything terrible or anything though. I figured I just sucked.
if you go to amazon you can buy a hundo for like 9.99. I use these:
AKSHULLY ITS .08C A BLADE
+1 for safety razors
You want cheap? You want classy?
Get a nice double-edged safety razor. Pick up a box of 100 razor blades for < $8.
oué lame de rasoir de base, j'ai acheté ça de mon côté !
oh sorry my bad, I couldnt even do a copy and paste properly haha
here is what I currently have
NOt sure if it is worth spending money to replace it with the ones you suggested. I am happy to try the Astra blades and happy to buy the handle you recommended if that means the end of cuts for me :)
A pack of these lasts me FOREVER... [link]
So, I looked at the sampler you posted and I watched a ton of Nick Shaves on YouTube. I decided to order these Derby's. It didn't cost me a sent (Amazon credit.. again). If I was spending my own money, I would've snagged the sampler. As these are the most forgiving, it seems, I'll see how they do with my thicker facial hair and report back for sure. But for now, I just have the 5 single-sided Sharks which have been holding up. They came with the razor. The Derby's will come on Saturday.
Later on, after I buy my brush, which I deem that the final 'notch' in completing my kit (brush, soap/cream, razor, blades, pencil, aftershave), perhaps I'll snag an alum block. Do you like yours? You can get 2 on Amazon for like $12 or so, if I recall correctly. You might know of these guys, but in the future, I was thinking of shopping here, at Stirling Soap. They've got a range of scents for all kinds of shaving-related things. It's like heaven.. for your face.. and hell.. for your wallet.
Or, if you're looking for after shaves on Amazon, for convenience or whatever, have you tried out the Clubman Pinaud and other similar scents? I really like that exact one. 2 pack for $12, right here. I can't quite describe it, but it's kind of a powder-y scent. Their bay rum, which I've also tried, is magnificent. But it has alcohol in it, so it might dry your skin out a bit. Whether that's good or bad is up to you, depending on your skin.
I'm partial to Derby and for $10? Psh, screw Gillett!
100 razor blades
I bought these and not had any issue, under a tenner for a hundred blades.
I'm not a guy, but I shave my legs with this safety razor and blades, they were the cheapest I found :
The razor ia lasting for 2 years now
You pay $2.50 a cartridge?
