Your best bet is probably to find a discounted TTK Legendary Edition to go with your code, since I believe you can't play it without TTK and you definitely can't without the base game. Here's one I found for only $26.
EDIT: If your question is that can you buy RoI on its own on xbox one if you already own destiny and all the DLCs, then the answer is yes.
If you want the base game and all of the DLC up to the taken king for $20 Amazon has got you covered
Think you can buy TTK for cheap now which includes everything. Now is great time to buy it. You should be fully leveled up before RoI drops.
edit: $30 on amazon. https://smile.amazon.com/Destiny-Taken-King-Legendary-Xbox-One/dp/B00ZJ211Q6/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1468846221&sr=1-1&keywords=destiny+xbox+one
Buy the TTK legendary edition. It includes all content (vanilla, DLC 1 & 2, and The Taken King expansion), and is usually marked down to a pretty reasonable price at this point.
Oh, i think you can find the legendary edition (contains everything you need to be up to date, vanilla game + 3 DLCs) of the game for around 40 now (or even less) due to the holiday sales
although that would be physical copy and delivery during this time period dont tend to be great...
I'd say your best bet is to just buy The Taken King: Legendary Edition. It comes with the base game, expansions I & II, and The Taken King.
It's only $32.99 on Amazon right now!
It's cheaper than buying everything separate, because, sadly, you will have to re-buy expansions I & II since they no longer carry-over to Xbox One.
correct, the version im referring to is amazom
which includes all dlc, the question is more specific to if it will work with a physical copy of the game for the raf since having a disk doesnt flag your xbox account as actually owning the content on the account unless the disk is present.
Amazon has the same deal going on for the TTK Legendary edition ($19.99), and will probably only get cheaper now that this Collection is a thing.
I would go to GameStop and just buy the taken king disk, unless you're outside the US. Idk where you got the 80 price tag from
Yes you can:
I bought this for my friend and it had everything he needed.
Destiny: The Taken King - Legendary Edition - Xbox One https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ZJ211Q6/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_jwMOxb879YGE5
The Legendary Edition is a "vanilla" Destiny disc, and inside the box are codes to download the expansions / digital content.
The retail (physical) version of the Legendary Edition is currently on sale for $19.99 at Toys R Us (in-store and online), Amazon, and you could use those to price-match at other retailers like Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, etc.
The only difference between the digital version and the physical version is your Xbox One will need to have the disc in the drive to play it.
Looks like an Amazon price match for the XB1 version.
Hopefully it makes it to you before Christmas! I asked about the charger, but my local store didn't have them in stock, so I am not sure if you are able to get that offer also.
I just got the 500 gig model with Gears of War. I picked up Halo 5 from Target today for $45 and ordered Destiny the Taken King off of Amazon for like $31. I got Black Ops 3 around a week ago for $30 when the Microsoft store ran it on sale, but GameStop has it for $40 right now. They also have Batman Arkham Knight for $20 and it comes with a pretty cool action figure for free.
Did you pick up any other games? I spent way too much money, but it should keep me occupied for a while.
You can get Destiny + All DLCs on Amazon for $29.99 for the next 23 hours
That bundle is only available on disc. You can also get the $80 collectors edition if you want to go digital. That gets you everything plus a few extras.
Here's a link to that version: Xbox Store
I just went on Amazon and found the legendary edition on disk. Here.
hmm I hope that is subject to change, because I'm a digital guy and amazon has it, not sure why they would force people to pay $20 more to buy digitally :(
