I bought this one and I leave it out with the grill(under cover). It has fallen a few times, and generally been abused. I found a 2 for 1 battery pack and charge for $99 on sale at Home Desperaton and added that.
I've got the dcv581. It's corded/cordless with 20v battery. Best of both worlds. I paid $130 for mine. It's $145 right now on Amazon. Might be a better deal out there. Cheers 🥃 https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00DD1UQ3Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_XHHKFbMCVQFHG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Hello Does anyone have any experience with the DeWalt battery vaccum ? (https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DCV581H-20-Volt-Cordless-Wet-Dry/dp/B00DD1UQ3Y)
I got one and I had to send it to repair onces. It does suck up sawdust if mounted to a saw but it can't suck of dried up leafs on the floor. Is it normal that the model is so weak or is mine just defect again ?
Ps using wired power don't add any power to the suction
DEWALT DCV581H 18/20-Volt MAX Cordless/Corded Wet-Dry Vacuum https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DD1UQ3Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_s-rsAb54D4QRQ
I also bought two 6amp hour batteries and a charger for them. They are pricy but worth every penny especially if you have any other 20v max dewalt products. They are all interchangeable which is really convenient. It's honestly crazy to see all the different battery powered tools they have.
I always do a shitload of research before buying anything... dewalt even has a 120v battery power tool line for yard work and construction. The batteries for them are also usable in their 20v max line. They just derate appropriately and last a long ass time.
The desirable feature of the DeWALT vacuum is that it is small??
Edit to add: I see that it is both cordless and corded.
That's probably way clunkier than i need, although when it comes to shop vacs, i may buy one of these on top of whatever else i buy: Dewalt 18v 20Vmax wet dry corded cordless shop vac
I'm an electrician, and always loved Dewalt battery powered tools. I own a 20V max drill with 2 batteries, and this looks great for a big mess, like when the upstairs neighbors apartment flooded and went down the inside of the wall and started leaking into my apartment through the baseboard. One of these would have saved me a ton of time soaking it up with a towel, after my mop broke. I'd also use it in my car, since i could use the battery for that application. It looks like a great all around mini shop vac for small projects.
Check out the DCV581H wet dry vac. It's cordless/corded, 2 gal. Much better than that little sucker. Decent price @ $129. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00DD1UQ3Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_inTXFbGHFWNEK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
