DEWALT 20V Max Cordless Drill Combo Kit, 2-Tool (DCK240C2) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IJ0ALYS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_8E5BPXTMMDB4Z5G84CJ2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Power drill and impact driver for less than 200$. Has batteries, a charger, and a bag.
I purchased this Dewalt set and have been loving it!
DeWalt, Makita, Milwaukee…what ever is on sale. I got a really good deal on a DeWalt set on Amazon
I would encourage you to get a drill and impact driver set if you can afford it. If you've never used an impact driver, you're in for a real treat.
Dewalt and Makita are some good options. I've had my Dewalt set for 9 years and the batteries have started to fade, but I'm not sure whether to just get new batteries or new tools too.
Here is one example. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IJ0ALYS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_H27X98RQFMD0JWSG44YJ
I got a nicer bag with my cordless drill / impact driver set. And it came with 2 Li Ion batteries and a charger.

Don’t worry about the bits. You can go to any big box hardware store and find a deal right now
No problem.
I was looking at this set that looks like it comes with a drill and an impact driver, a charger, and two batteries. The brushless XR versions are indeed more expensive, and that kit in XR is showing for almost double the price for me right now. I have a combination of the brushed and brushless DeWalt tools right now and there’s really no functional difference between them. The XR (brushless) line feels a bit more substantial and slightly better-built, but it’s kind of a wash. The only place where I think the XR drill stands out is their short version. It’s about half the length of the standard sized drill and is really handy for getting into tight spaces.
Keep the battery system in mind with the cordless tools; I find that it really sucks to have 8 different chargers and batteries for my different tools. I recently swapped out all of my Ryobi gear to DeWalt. The Ryobi tools were great for my use, but their battery sets seem to have a really short life here in Arizona. I was replacing battery packs every 12-18 months. If you don’t mind the mess of 8 different systems, then obviously get the best tools for your use case. I just like the consistency and being able to grab a battery off of the “charged” pile without having to examine it to make sure it’s the right manufacturer.
> I’m using screws in a few key places just for extra stability and peace of mind that it won’t buckle.
Unless you’re trying to do run a really long span unsupported, or using some thin plywood, you’ll probably be fine. The face-grain to face-grain glue joint (what you have in the picture) is the strongest way to glue wood and as long as you didn’t starve your joints, it’s going to be ridiculously strong. If it’s going to fail, it’s going to fail in the middle where the forces applied by weight are furthest from the support on the edges. If you really want to make sure you have cross-support, you’ll want to bore a 1/4” hole through the entire piece and run threaded rod through the entire piece.
What’s your design look like? I might be able to give some recommendations to help with stability without having to go through the trouble of sinking screws everywhere.
There’s a Dewalt drill and impact driver combo with 2 batteries and a toolbag for $139 on Amazon .

A combo with a drill and an impact driver would be my suggestion:

Sometimes goes on sale for ~$100. Best purchase I made. Batteries last well and don't need to drag extension cord around.
As many have said, use screw. With what you paid, you could get yourself a decent cordless impact or drill that will have 100 different uses around your home. It is almost essential for home repair and will make most jobs 100 times easier. Something like this https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DCK240C2-Lithium-Driver-Impact/dp/B00IJ0ALYS/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=drill+impact+set&qid=1596823526&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExUkVHTjhXMFNDTzgxJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMzYwNzUyM0dUUzM1NVQzVFRRTyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNzAwNDMxMjJTQTNNOVRMVkIxOSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU= will be 100 times more useful. You can also find a cheaper brand that will work for lighter applications.
I have this set: https://smile.amazon.com/DEWALT-DCK240C2-Lithium-Driver-Impact/dp/B00IJ0ALYS/ I used this set to built a 10x30 deck, predrilled holes for screws and used the impact driver to run the screws in.
The five bits in the lower left hand corner of the box fit the impact driver. The other bits fit into the middle three bits.
What's your budget? I've been really happy with my Dewalt set.

I’m in Ohio, the drill and impactor combo is $149 at Lowe’s and on amazon. DEWALT DCK240C2 20v Lithium Drill Driver/Impact Combo Kit (1.3Ah) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IJ0ALYS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_A9jeBbB9XNMN4
I wound up with DeWalt, but I caught a deal on drill, driver and toolkit for $230 a while back.
You can get either Milwaukee or DeWalt for $160 right now:

Yeah I kinda found out the hard way. The previous tenants left their wall mount on the wall. Top screw I'm guessing was the one that came with it. It was hex. Bottom one was a philips head screw.
The $20(?) cordless wal mart impact was far more useful at getting it out a little bit at each press of the button, wheres the impact wrench was shearing/rounding the head. Once it came 4mm or so, I was able to use a needle nose vise grip and take care of the rest. I'm definitely getting an impact driver.
The $150 dewalt combo kit use different battery designs from my current impact wrench, this may be the one since their labeled as XR Li-on.
Thanks for the response.
