Horizontally, actually. Crossing a driver like this to a 10" or larger driver would be nice, but - if I read the specs correctly - the transducer has much broader dispersion near the crossover point than the average big woofer, which rolls off heavily around 60 degrees.
Directivity control also reduces room reflections, which are - for me, at least - an ongoing issue. A tidy ~75 degree cone of even radiation would be more valuable than 180 degrees for my purposes, and 90 would be awfully nice for corner horns (yes, I'm aware I'm proposing barbarism.)
