May have to go online, rather than a local supermarket, but there are alternatives. Crest used to have a Vanilla Mint flavor a few years back that was great, but they sadly discontinued it. This is what I've been using lately, and it's pretty good. It's not completely mint free, but it's far more mild than you'll find in most toothpastes, and the vanilla flavor is pretty pleasant.
