How do you do the needling? You look amazing, btw. I just bought a dermastamp for my chest after gaining like 25 lbs in 30 days from a medication (0.5 mm to 3 mm) and while my skin is getting red I wouldnt say that the needles are piercing my skin. I bought this one.

Some say don't use a derma roller as it will cause scars.. Some say use a derma pen. Some say use a Dr pen.. Some Dr pens are 20 dollars some are 150 dollars
I am at a loss of what to do. I dont see how a pen will give me coverage on my entire head minus the sides. Wouldn't a roller or stamp be better?

Why is this 20 dollars while other Dr pens are 150 dollars? This a derma stamp. What are the pros and cons VS a roller or a derma pen?
I don't think I can afford to spend 150 on a pen.
Some people say get a derma roller some say the rollers cause scaring some say get a stamp some say a pen. Some say 0.5mm some say 1.5mm.. Please can someone help me?
So to answer all 3 questions
- I don't believe so because the finasteride should already be suppressing the DHT, at the very least the DHT affecting your scalp. However, iirc, it's natural to get a shedding phase every few months to once a year on finasteride and minoxidil.
- I personally use a dermastamp and I've been satisfied with its effects, though I'm not committed enough to spend big bucks on a pen though, but I may in the future. As for the stamp, I got this one.
- For oral finasteride, yes you would need a prescription, but it shouldn't take more than five minutes at the dermatologist's office, and probably a day or two for the pharmacist to get it ready. It's dirt cheap too, when I wanted to start oral finasteride, I got a 30-day supply of 1mg pills for $2.

this is what I use at home! Make sure to clean with iso alcohol in between each use.

Stamps are pretty nice but it'll take a long time to stamp large areas and can be quite painful. I'd recommend something like this but without height adjustment because those are a bitch to properly disinfect. If you have money to spare go for a machine like the Derminator or Dr. Pen but don't cheap out cause the cheaper devices are complete garbage.

This is the one and I use the 1.5 mm needles once a week just stamped all over the top of my scalp. I'll make a part, stamp it, make another part, stamp it, etc until I've covered the entire top.

Initially I just did the top of head but I try to do all around following each hairline as I move through ear to ear. I do horizontal but vertical would work too. Whichever you prefer. :)
