I know you are an ex-muslim, but there are a huge number of accounts of people who went from Islam to Christianity because they saw Jesus in a dream or vision.
The Spirit of Christ speaks to any and all that will listen to Him, even Muslims have visions of Jesus. (great book about that here https://www.amazon.com/DREAMS-VISIONS-Jesus-Awakening-Muslim/dp/0849947200?ie=UTF8&*Version*=1&*entries*=0
Do the visions/dreams point us towards Chris and knowing Him better? Do they line up with His Word? If yes, then chances are that it is Him speaking. But the Holy Spirit also gives us the gift of discernment so we can discern what is truth and what is not. It is a very much needed gift! It comes when we are filled with the Holy Spirit. Hence why the Spirit filled life is a necessary one to living out our faith as Jesus desired us to do.

It shouldn't surprise us that people of different religions have "spiritual experiences." The Holy Spirit desires to speak to all of us and draw all of us, regardless of our religion. In fact, many people are drawn to Jesus because of a vision. Here is another book about that for example (but there isn't a free version that I know of) https://www.amazon.com/DREAMS-AND-VISIONS-Awakening-Muslim/dp/0849947200
Also, Imagine Heaven by John Burke is just an amazing book that will really help you with your struggle with "spiritual experiences" in different religions and how that ties into Jesus being the only way to the Father! https://www.amazon.com/Imagine-Heaven-Near-Death-Experiences-Exhilarating/dp/080101526X There are some free videos on Vimeo too that you can check out: https://vimeo.com/tag:imagine+heaven
And that should fill up all your free time for a few days. ;) LOL
What is really awesome, is once we start to fully surrender to the Holy Spirit, He will start to use us in miraculous ways! Just today I was leaving the grocery store and felt led to chat with a women that was collecting donations for an organization I am pretty sure is a cult of some sort but I felt the Holy Spirit nudging me to go and speak with her. I chatted a bit about her "ministry" and my concerns. I shared a bit about how I had a vision and then all of sudden she said, "You are the one!" I looked around me like, "I am the one?" Then she said, "Yes. Jesus said he was going to send someone to tell me if I was on the right track!" She wanted to hear my most recent vision, which was basically for someone else. A man was looking at a map and getting frustrated. He was standing still and going nowhere and finally crumpled up the map and then threw it to the side of the road and then raised his arms to heaven. I explained we like to try and figure out our own path or our own way, but Jesus really just wants us to completely surrender to Him. I also explained that we cannot put our trust in what men say, because men all have different opinions and only in Christ and we must get to know and listen to the Holy Spirit.
I also shared another vision, about how we must allow the Holy Spirit to flow through us and not just "add Jesus" to whatever our own plan is. I prayed with her and she cried and said she really felt His presence. It was awesome, and humbling, but cool because I am just trying to surrender to Him myself. It is great when we see Him work in and through us. I pray that you will let Him do the same in and through you!
And just so you know, for the most part I only post on threads here that I feel led to as well and He led me to you! The Holy Spirit is definitely drawing you closer and closer. It is awesome isn't it? Love Him!
The Bible says that men are "without excuse" because we can see evidence of God all around us:
Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
The beauty in the world, the love we have the choice to feel in our hearts for each other, the fact that we have "eternity set in our hearts" as it says in the Bible as well, is what should cause all of mankind to seek after God. Like a deer pants for the water so our souls should long after God. We are all "thirsty" and in need of the drink of living water that only Jesus can fill our souls with. He is more than willing to do so for those that seek, regardless of what religion they happen to be at part of.
Also, there are so many stories of people that had Jesus revealed to them in dreams and visions as they, with pure hearts, desired to seek after truth and love. This book was an excellent example of that to me: https://www.amazon.com/DREAMS-VISIONS-Jesus-Awakening-Muslim/dp/0849947200
