I use [these organizers](https://www.amazon.com/Drive-Auto-Products-Organizer-Storage/dp/B071F82CYJ?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1] Two in the back-back and one in the backseat (or passenger seat when people take a break from mooching rides off me). They have adjustable straps that attach to the anchor points in the back, or wrap around the bucket seats. They also collapse fully or to half-size, and can connect to each other. They were a big hit with the deliverers when I was doing curbside grocery pick up and I love them for takeout to keep the car clean.
I bought 2 of these, trunk organizers, super easy to pack and easier to pull things in and out of the vehicle because of the handles.. also great for grocery shopping as well haha
I got this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071F82CYJ/ when I got my crosstrek. Coming from a sedan I was not used to have such precious trunk space. I was able to fit all of my emergency kit stuff, extra clothes, etc. all in this thing, and it takes up about a 1/3 of the space.

Just got that today for the cx5. It's 40% off right now but been cheaper in the past.
I also have some of those cistco installed crates. And then some insulated fold out things to go inside them. Hope that helps
Good work. I know this is not in the spirit of the sub, but these work well https://www.amazon.com/Drive-Auto-Products-Organizer-Storage/dp/B071F82CYJ/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=pickup+bed+organizer&qid=1610854472&sprefix=pickup&
I bought one of these on Amazon a long while ago and it holds everything I need. To be fair it does take up a good chunk of trunk space, but I also use it to hold groceries and other items in place when I'm driving. It also has convenient hooks that you can latch to the car seat latches (not sure if 2013 VT have those or not) so that it stays in place while driving a little more spirited.
My '17 EX has the 2nd row buckets and came with the Ford floor liners and the grooves in them are deep enough for the gunk I bring into the vehicle. I normally buy Weathertech's, but I'm happy with what I have.
I don't recall if the third row has floor liners or not as I don't use the third row, so it's always stowed. I didn't get a cargo liner either, but I did get myself one of these, plus I have a square milk crate that I keep in the back, and the included cargo net is good at keeping things from falling out when I open the back.
I got one of these, I have similar ones in my other cars too.

I just got this one from Amazon. It seems okay. There are bunches of them.
Have you got one of these trunk organizers? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071F82CYJ/
It cost 1/3 of the price of an OEM Subaru one, and works great.
I use this, very happy with it - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071F82CYJ/
Does he already have a cargo organizer in the trunk?
This is less than half the price of the OEM one, has a nicer color, and of high quality. I love using it:

This is what I use. Pretty basic but gets the job done. I can collapse it by half if I do not have much, and likewise, expand it. I like the straps too. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071F82CYJ
I use this and like it.
