Ordered one because my fiancee is not as enthusiastic about tarps as I am and I'm hoping to get her at least car camping this year. I'm also hoping it'll be nice for some bad weather trips since I'll have a little more space and confidence in not getting wet.

Nemo tents are expensive in the United States as well. But because Nemo doesn't have any offices in the EU there will be much higher import tariffs, VAT and duty on their products. You will definately find a better price on the Exped tents over there.

If you're going to be doing any sort of hiking, and I could also argue biking, then getting a UL tent is recommended.

Another one to try if you can wait until August or September. The Durston X-Mid 2p. Basically the best trekking pole tent on the market for the money. If you don't want to carry around trekking poles then you can also buy aftermarket support poles.

For those who have been interested in the X-mid 2p, it's available right now on Amazon. 400 units sold yesterday in about six hours, and another 400 units were made available today, with a total of 1000 in this batch. I've just bought the Tarptent Stratospire 2 which is very similar and plan to use it in similar conditions to you. I've tried a few tents over the years but this style seems really good for space, weight, sets up as one, price and reasonable weather resistance.
