My solar setup is a folding 5w solar panel from harbor freight. Its actually pretty durable and has served me well for about 3 years now. For about $30 it weighs less than 8 ounces because it doesnt come with a buiñt in battery. All i use it for is my headlamp too which is a nitecore nu20. It puts out 220 lumens for around 5 hours on 1 charge ( or 360 for 30 minutes) it also has a lower setting plus a 1 lumen setting that wont ruin your night vision if youre just turning it on quickly to check something. The nitecore has a 600 mah battery. I finish the setup off with a 3000 mah battery pack from amazon https://www.amazon.com/Attom-Tech-Portable-External-Emergency/dp/B07JZCZSH9/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=small+usb+battery+pack&qid=1598899611&sprefix=small+usb+ba&sr=8-3 It weighs just a few ounces and the panel can charge it completely in a day. Even if you have some cloudy days, the battery pack will charge my headlamp 4 or 5 times and if its sunny hou can even top off your cell phone of you just use it liberaly like i do. Whole setup is about $70 and weighs around 12 oz with a 3 inch usb cord.
Hope this helps.
Yes, you need a 5v/2a source. It can be powered directly from the drone or like you said and we do use a small power pack. Easily lasts all day.

You can run LoRa and log for PPK. The M2 can also be used as an NTRIP rover if you need. We have this kit. If you mount everything right you could actually swap the M2 back and forth.
