I really like the Duchess Bakeshop Cookbook. It's a patisserie and has a lot of great basic recipes for things like croissants, mille feuille and other staples. There are also some DELICIOUS chocolate rosemary cookies! That said, if you already have a lot of cookbooks, this one might double up on some recipes. Hasn't led me astray yet, though!
