I did this one. So far it’s worked. Sail Kote or Gummi Pledge are good options as well. I went with this one simply because Amazon had free next day on it and the creaking was driving me insane.
Edit: I just realized the one I purchased is no longer on Amazon as I did a spray one. The squeeze one that it linked kay actually work better as you can rub it into the felt easier and I may end up grabbing that instead. If you search for Dry Teflon lubricant there are a good amount of options.
PTFE is Teflon, or more accurately Teflon is a brand name for PTFE.
I think what he is talking about is basically using a spray lubricant to coat the bike. Probably something like this
I wonder how long it lasts, my guess is not very long. I think something like a car wax would probably last longer.
On my chains and derailleur, instead of oil, I use DePont's teflon spray. It does not attract grim, and works pretty well for me.
This is the teflon. I clean the mags with gunscrubber first. (and dry them with compressed air or hair dryer). Good luck!
(the steel ammo likes to bind in the steel mags, which is why I also do the inside of the bodies with teflon - you might as well since you have them apart...)
The guide I used: https://whatsittech.com/2017/08/18/how-to-lube-your-trackball/
That guide references this product: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D3G6IFE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I used an aeresol version of the same product and just sprayed it on queue tips. This works but the squeeze bottle is probably easier.
I see other good ideas and things to try but if you want to try the Teflon, here is the link. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00D3G6IFE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Q1dsFb8W4ZMGP
$8 on amazon for a lipophobic spray:
http://www.amazon.com/DuPont-Non-Stick-Dry-Film-Lubricant-14-Ounce/dp/B00D3G6IFE
Spray that on a $20 garbage can, boom fingerprint proof.
are you talking about this stuff?
