I'd suggest using a desiccant-based electric dehumidifier* if you're going to dry clothes by hanging indoors during the winter. The dehumidifier can dry clothes a lot quicker as well drawing water from the air and it's a lot smaller and more portable than a tumble dryer.
*A thing that you plug in while running and has a fan, heating element, etc. Not one of those things that are just a tub of dessicant or possibly that plus an element to "recharge it". This is the one I've got (though no longer available) just to be clear what I mean: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00I5NEZ78
As long as you put the washing in a small room and shut the door, it doesn't matter much. The smaller the room, the less air, and so you can get away with a smaller dehumidifier. Shutting the door means the dehumidifier is working on your damp washing, not on your whole home.
If you need to dehumidify a larger area, then you will need a larger machine.
I have an EcoAir DD1 Mini, which is small and very basic, but great at drying laundry, and very light and portable. You do need to spend £100+ to get a decent, effective model.
I would also get a few basic hygrometers to put in each room. These will tell you if you have a humidity problem. And they will monitor how well your dehumidifier is removing water if it doesn't have a built-in hygrometer.
