NTA. Here’s what you should do:
1) Tell him you feel like you both need to cool off and get on the same page again. After all, you are supposed to be a team!
2) Bake him a batch of chocolate chip cookies and make a BIG deal of how yummy they are going to be
3) Mix in some ants along with the chocolate chips, 50/50 split for a nice little crunch (you can get a bag of edible insects on Amazon really cheap here: Edible Insects Bag of Mixed Edible Bugs. Grasshoppers, Crickets, Silk Worms and Sago Worms (1 Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D961QI6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_VNBTC6HD51QKZF99BV8G?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 )
4) after he’s been smelling them all day and looking forward to it, present him with them but tell him there’s some ants included but that he can just “pick around it”
5) go to couples counseling
For best results, skip 1-4.
Expand their horizons. Be creative. Find a local BDSM club and tell them that you joined. Tell them you're thinking of eating edible insects and maybe some Kopi Luwak to drink with them. (It's awful, trust me). See what you can get them to do and have some fun.
If you want to try a variety of things then ento market is probably going to be your best bet. I've heard good things about them, though I've never ordered from there personally. They have lots of different kinds of insects so you can order a little bit of everything to try them out. I think crickets are a good place to start as they're really versatile. They can be tossed with oil and seasonings to make snacks (or bought pre-seasoned), substituted into many dishes if you just order the dry roasted kind (cricket stir-fry anyone?), and they can even be powdered and used as a high-protein flour substitute for baking.
There's actually also a surprising amount of insects available on amazon. You could get something like this if you want to get a variety pack. I would shop around on both sites and compare prices. Be careful with the pictures and read the package weight carefully, as a lot of times the pictures for insect products make it look a lot larger than it actually is.
Oatmeal raisin are delicious. What you want to do is make food-grade bug cookies and have people debating whether they're chocolate chip or oatmeal raisin.

First, you need to go see a doctor and get the potential bite looked at. Even if it's embarrassing, it's worth avoiding a more serious health issue or infection in the future. Second, it sounds like you have a sensory need that you need to fulfill in a different, more healthy way. Perhaps look into prepacked 'edible' bugs that are meant to be eaten?
