If you go for the ego, I would highly recommend getting this mulcher blade: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N39KRRM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
There isn't much pull so this helps create some suction for my fine fescue.
It's the Ego High Lift Blade. I replaced the stock blade with the high lift blade:
I bought this one last year:
Noticed a slight improvement over the stock blades but not by much.
Great question, thank you. Here are my off-the-cuff thoughts:
Pros:
Cons:
In summary: It's a solid lawn mower that has been easy to use. I'd buy it again if I had the choice in front of me. I ended up also getting a SunJoe dethatcher, which handles the debris clean up perfectly. Like I mentioned, I'm going to also reward myself with an Allett Liberty 43 this fall as a treat if I can manage to get the grass into good shape and level out the lawn. I'll use that for the front lawn (for the envy factor), but continue to use my Ego in the backyard.
