Okay! So my last pet that was in the wooden box passed on so I put Dewey in it! I remember hearing a few people mention to put a cover on him for humidity, so I thought this might be just as good. There’s glass on 3 sides, I mist about every other day or when the humidity goes down, and it’s just naturally hot in California during this time, so the light is just an add on. It was just put on so it’s probably going to get hotter.
This is a 60W lamp with a 12 hour timer
Right now, I plan to use one light to see it it works out. I’m not sure if it needs all 3 to be at a full 60W and tbh it’s not as bright as the 20W halo lamp I used before (and it definitely doesn’t look as good)
Humidity rn is 63 and I honestly don’t remember if that’s good or not. I’m honestly just tryna do the least of the most… having a black lamp kinda kills my aesthetic. I just couldn’t find a white one….
Mine is also a clip light. I use this light It’s a 60W LED bulb and despite its unassuming appearance, it packs a punch.
I was hesitant at first because it doesn’t seem like this one would be powerful enough but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by it. In fact I now have 3 of them! I don’t have a ton of space or a ton of plants so I didn’t want something that would take much room or be a hassle to move. The timer works well and the quality seems good. It did take a couple days to get the adjustable heads trained to stay put but overall good price for a good product.
I keep my plants anywhere from 4-6 inches under the light and have it set to the 12 hour timer.
I have four of these in my house and one at work. First one I bought is kind of a purple-y light, which the plants are cool with but I’m not. Just so you know. These are the ones I like LED Grow Light for Indoor... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QNHTZ9C?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I believe plants need periods of darkness for their respiration cycle, which I suppose can be at any done indoors at time of day.
I 100% prefer LED, not the creepy blue/red ones, but rather full spectrum light. I have both gooseneck and shop lights - some of my plants thrive under the goosenecks. The biggest challenge will be ensuring plants that need sufficient light are able to get enough from just a couple of goosenecks.
I use ones like this, all purchased from Amazon though the specific brand I bought is no longer listed:

How hot are we saying here? I'm not familiar with western areas with 4 seasons but if anything you would like to purchase to help then it will be heater mats during cold days while other hot days just keeping the lid open in a windy ceiling fan room. (Don't forget to top up the evaporated water!)
Lamps are unnecessary. They don't really heat the tanks well. The only purpose is to grow algae and to give a nice tank illumination.
Any table lamps is fine. You can get grow lamps anywhere in Amazon. Usually they emit a purple glow since they are calibrated for max plant growth. If you like a mix of both then any aquarium light will also work.
I use https://www.amazon.com/Elaine-Upgraded-Spectrum-Hydroponics-Succulent/dp/B07QNHTZ9C/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=LED+Grow+Light+for+Indoor+Plant%2CElaine+Upgraded+Version&qid=1607565149&sr=8-3 and the orchids have been pretty happy! I started using these around June of this year so I'm relatively new to using grow lights. 0
If you only have a few succulents this should be affordable and work well succulent light
I use something else, but it's because I have so many
60w, 400nm to 840nm
I've been using them for a couple of weeks, and so far so good. I just wanted to be sure my succs would do well under these over the long-term. I only began keeping succs this year so I am still learning.

Those are the lights. I'd say the zygo is about 1 foot away from them. I repotted her into a smaller pot now that she has no roots. I may have over watered. What medium do you have yours in? Do you let it dry out before watering?
The room is around 70 degrees and gets morning sun through the window. I got the light off Amazon to try out indoor growing this year.
