Thanks for the review and I really appreciate it.
I have a few suggestions.
Can you add a buy link / amazon link in your posts so people know where they can buy the chargers from?
Also.. Can you review this one too? https://www.amazon.com/PowerIQ-Anker-Charger-PowerPort-included/dp/B01CJ90J6O/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1468080497&sr=8-2&keywords=anker+usb+c+charger
People say that its as fast as the OEM Nexus 6P Charger
Anker products are solid
But converting that price makes me thing it costs a lot in India?
Maybe you can find it elsewhere for cheaper, it is about $15-20 in US and Europe
This is the charger i got when my OG Pixel charger died (supports quick charge)
Good luck with your search, enjoy Canada!
If you want one that comes with a good quality C to C cable as well, I'd recommend this:
It's QC 3.0 based so it'll work for the S8 (only pulls max 15W) and any other device you purchase in the future that supports fast charging up to 24W.
I have two questions:
1) You would need something like the following to charge the PowerCore, correct?
2) I travel a lot and keep a crappy 2-port Powerocks wall-charger/battery. I use it to charge my phone and alternate charging my watch and iPad. If I got this PowerCore, could I plug it into the wall and use it to charge my phone, watch, and Switch? Something on Amazon suggested it doesn't support pass-through charging?
~~Ah I see, so something like this Anker device meets that USB-PD standard.~~
Nevermind. A reviewer describes it being unfit for a Switch.
I ended up getting this USB c to USB c charger for my switch. I'm praying it will work close to par with the official one. Kicking myself for not getting the real one now
This baby pushes 24W through which is the highest Ive been able to find. Charges my phone in 20-25 minutes tops.
edit: I know it says it doesnt do quick charge on the G5 on amazon but it works perfect for me (H831)

Anker Quick Charge 3.0 and USB Type-C 24W USB Wall Charger, PowerPort+ 1 for Galaxy S7 / Edge / Plus, LG, Nexus, HTC and More https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CJ90J6O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_oM4rybZABC1SH
... Well perhaps they are not following spec? Standard usb c - c cable is delivering 9v to the phone.
I recently bought this charger https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CJ90J6O/ref=psdc_12557637011_t3_B01AHX1ABW because its quick charge 3.0
and the charger that came with the lg V20 is 2.0
I wanted to see just how much faster my phone could charge
but it doesn't even register as fast charging
if anything it takes about the same time if not longer the the stock charger
My bad on the note 7 thing. Looking back I meant the HTC 10 and the G5, just couldn't remember at the time. and yes I'm sure. I;ve had multiple qc2 phones and I was able to tell a difference by sheer speed. And if c to c isn't supported with qc3 then why are there are chargers for it? This is the charger I use.
No. You can only turbo charge with the included charger or a USB C to USB C charger (one like this https://www.amazon.com/PowerIQ-Anker-Charger-PowerPort-included/dp/B01CJ90J6O/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1476225621&sr=8-3&keywords=charger+usb+c )
Try this on amazon. I got a charge of 65% in 65 minutes with occasional screen on’s
Does this work? https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Charge-Type-C-Charger-PowerPort/dp/B01CJ90J6O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1503504062&sr=8-1&keywords=Universal+22.5W+Dual+Port+USB+Type-C+Charger
Was thinking of this one, but that means i also have to replace all my bricks to type-c bricks
would you suggest it over the Anker?
and what's the official google pixel charger? could you link it for me please or is this it?
Just a charger? It's hard to go wrong with Anker.
USB-C might charge it faster than a fast regular USB charger, but a regular charger might be more universal for other stuff you have. Some ideas:
Anker Quick Charge 3.0 and USB Type-C 24W USB Wall Charger, PowerPort+ 1 for Galaxy C9 Pro, Nexus, Moto and More https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CJ90J6O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_30iOybB3940B8
[Upgraded] Anker 2-Port 24W USB Wall Charger PowerPort 2 with PowerIQ for iPhone 7 / 6s / Plus, iPad Air 2 / mini 3, Galaxy S Series, Note Series, LG, Nexus, HTC and More https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LCDJ7LG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_O2iOyb85KSG0S
Anker 40W 4-Port USB Wall Charger, PowerPort 4 for iPhone 7 / 6s / Plus, iPad Pro / Air 2 / mini, Galaxy S7 / S6 / Edge / Plus, Note 5 / 4, LG, Nexus, HTC and More https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VH8ENXE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_p3iOybTMBZHGF
If you're not getting a Pro Controller, you might want a USB to USB C cable if you don't already have one:
Anker PowerLine USB-C to USB 3.0 Cable (3ft) with 56k Ohm Pull-up Resistor for USB Type-C Devices Including the new MacBook, ChromeBook Pixel, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nokia N1 Tablet, OnePlus 2 and More https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01A6F3WHG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_y4iOybVN557P9
I ended up getting this USB c to USB c charger for my switch. Anyone know if this will be able to charge and play at the same time?
> Just go onto Amazon and try to buy a USB-C cable and a wall adapter that is cheaper than the 30 bucks Nintendo is charging. It's like impossible.
Those are the top hits I get by searching "usb c wall charger"
Man, to be for real with you I didn't even use that cable once. If I were you I'd buy a official Google USB c to USB c cable and then get a charger block from Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CJ90J6O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_XcqFybJ4ECJQ0
So this would be the only true QC3.0 charger available.
I've always have good luck with Anker products. A little pricier, but good quality
