This is the mic. I'm not using it for audio, I'm using it for frequency analysis.
I can't get a clear signal on my oscilloscope, when it shows fine with other inputs.

Theres a lot going on here. Allow me to explain. I've been watching some really compelling sound design videos lately on YT. My newfound love for sound design can be 100% credited to r/BeatDaily btw
Using some of the cheapest and most portable mics imaginable (Contact Mics) which are like $3 each... I went to look for cool real world sounds and recorded a door, an elevator, a mailbox and a BBQ grill. (note to self, take an agitator next time, the grill was gross).
Threw a beat delay on the BBQ sample and chopped the door into a kit. Ducked the long rolling bbq sample on the kit with a side chain. Then used FORM (NI Komplete underrated instrument) and added in some minimal stabs and bass. The 'chant' comes from Form too, its a preset called Lost Choir.
The track is called Karnaca because I had in my minds eye this place in the dishonored 2 game. Some of the best environmental storytelling ever in gaming, check the pics out here so you can feel the track more.

I’ve used these and they worked fine. Single zone no choke
It’s common to put one of these on a vice.
The guitar plug came in yesterday and I finally got some time to throw it on the pickup and dust off my trusty old v700's. First thing, holy shit, i can hear. Second thing, uh oh, i hear way to much. After a few adjustments and test picks I slipped this 1100 open in record (to me) time - by a huge margin. Once I was able to distinguish the different clicks and ignore the pick/spring/user noise it became super easy. I think this will help this deaf old bastard out a lot. I'm going to test out some earbuds next and see if that helps cut out the background noise. I'm probably going to spend the evening going through all of my locks with security pins now just to start learning their sounds and I'm super excited to see how much this helps me advance my picking ability.
Thank you again /u/Norlin76 - u/L0ckJocKey I highly recommend this setup so far.
Guitar pickup, goes into the Zoom H6 Recorder on the right, mixes in the lock sounds so the viewers can hear the clicks etc easier. I use it when picking magnetic locks that rely on sound (eg. EVVA MCS, Miwa 3800, Miwa EC). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HVFTGTH/
Camera is just any DSLR, in my case it's my photography camera Canon 7d Mark II, not ideal for video, better of with an actual video camera as a DSLR is only allowed to film for 29 minutes 59 seconds. I used to use a GoPro, but couldn't zoom/change focus with it.
The monitor is one I had for my RC FPV setup (fying RC planes with a camera attached to them), was a backup for if my goggles failed I could rip them off and look at the monitor. I use it to view what I'm recording to make sure stuff is in frame/focus, that particular monitor is this one, but I'm sure there are better ones out there: https://www.getfpv.com/10-1-lumenier-lcd-monitor-led-backlit.html
