Ergotron – HX Single Ultrawide Monitor Arm, VESA Wall Mount – for Monitors Up to 49 Inches, 20 to 42 lbs –White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MSZIAET/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_V53XN3B2525D55X53VSK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
...and the optional heavy duty mount... You'll find it mentioned in the q & a.
Don't skimp on the mount and buy a proper one like the Ergotron HX.
Also, don't put your curved monitor on the floor like that, that's just asking for it to get damaged. Place it on the original curved foam inserts from the box, or use pillows/etc to support it.
Ended up getting this Ergotron HX wall mount. Going to leave the bottom one on the stand and just mount the other one to the wall so it can be placed above the other one. Luckily there is heavy gauge metal studs (exterior wall) where it will be mounted so I have faith that it will have no chance of coming out.
So it turns out the mount that attaches to the monitor has a lip on it so you can easily set it on the wall mount, then tighten it down. So after seeing that I think I'm good to go by myself. Just need to hope this stud finder actually works and get it into a stud.

Oh, I have a crazy idea: A medical TV arm mount with multiple fully adjustable joints, so that the monitor can be mounted on the ceiling for veiwing while laying on ones back in bed, or with the tv mounted on the sidewall for viewing while sitting up at a desk. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Ergotron-45-478-216-Mount-Monitor-Monitors/dp/B01MSZIAET/ref=sr\_1\_44?crid=176LOX9LICUK3&keywords=Medical+Grade+17.6+lbs+Monitor+Wall+Mount&qid=1642522725&s=electronics&sprefix=medical+grade+17.6+lbs+monitor...
>I recall seeing a high end stand of the kind that I am looking for in a youtube video some time ago but for the life of me I can't find it. It was white, in the $300+ range and officially supported heavier screens. I could have sworn that even though it had horizontal adjustments, at the same time it kept the vertical movement linear. Does this explanation make sense? I may be imagining things of course.
Going by the price and the fact that it officially supports heavier screens, my guess would be that you were looking at an Ergotron unit, although they mostly only support heavier screens on wall-mounts (eg - the HX Wall Mount 45-478-216).
Ergotron (and most other decent-quality stands) have an adjustment screw for the friction setting on any adjustment (you might want to check if your AB one has it too, since it's pretty standard), which you can set to 100% to lock that adjustment (so if you set the friction screw to 100% for left/right movement, it won't move left/right until you loosen that screw).
Is there a wall mount option, which has an arm. I wanna know if the ergotron is suitable for this monitor? I just want the desk to have nothing but the computer, keyboard and mouse

Do you reckon I should install this wall mount. My plan was I can cover the sockets and then when I’m using the monitor I can bring it down more towards eye level?

Hey!
From a programmer point of view perhaps a gamer will have another opinion:
Perhaps one of the downside of both screens is the fact that PPI is 108 but I do not notice any pixelation. In fact it looks really nice however if you are obsessed with PPI. Instead of getting these 2x49', you can get 40' with almost doubel the PPI. But I'd rather have screen space for now.
I ended up getting this Ergotron HX wall mount
can you mount it to the wall?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MSZIAET/
not sure if that would give you enough range of motion for height adjustment

if not, just screw it into the desk with a small block of wood underneath for more support.
I think it’s sold out right now and is being overpriced by third party sellers atm… but this is it! Also, you’d need to purchase the HD Pivot to support the tilt on the monitor
Thanks so much for the advice again! You were able to help me decide on Ergotron's HX wall mount which is the same as the desk mount but goes on the wall:

I contacted their support and they basically told me my monitor wouldn't fit because of the 300x300 VESA compatibility. They were unwilling to point me in the direction of a proper adapter so I found one on my own:

I'll update this post if for whatever reason this solution is not compatible with the FO48U in case anyone else is looking for a similar solution.
Thanks again for pointing me in Ergoton's direction! Really appreciate it!
Two if these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MSZIAET
And they have a special attachment for heavy monitors, should be in the "commonly purchased with...".
The wall mount is a Ergotron. Here's the link. Hope this helps =)
Is there a way to show me the hack for this? And would the hack work on the arm below
