It's all relative. The Amazonbasics arms are significantly more than North Bayou and Mount-It! types but they're still a lot cheaper than the Ergotron versions.
A single arm Ergotron is $175 so the $116 Amazonbasics arm while expensive is still quite a bit cheaper for close enough quality and function.
The same applies to the dual monitor variants where the Ergotron versions are $300+ while the Amazonbasics one is like $180.
Had same problem. Bought a monitor arm and that made it possible to use a more comfortable chair as well. I bought an ergotron arm but they've gone up in price. The thing is extremely well built though. I paid 40$ less and don't regret it. There's probably a cheaper version out there.

So i guessing the back of you desk isnt against a wall, but either way i dont think youll be able to find something that works without getting in the way of its self unless you use an arm like (this)[https://www.amazon.com/Ergotron-Mounting-Arm-Monitor-Capacity/dp/B07Q8TJ2KL/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=monitor+arm&qid=1638593997&sr=8-8] and mount it to the side of the desk instead of the back of it
Ergotron makes really good Arms, own one but didn't attached my G7 on it yet but it's really high quality and feels sturdy.
Quoting from the amazon page for this monitor.
Stand can be removed to install an included VESA 75mm x 75mm plate for custom VESA Stand Mounting.
Would this vesa plate fit onto a monitor arm such as the Ergotron LX ? (The monitor arm supports 75x75 vesa but that Nixeus monitor has such a weird mounting mechanism)
It is the ergotron lx
I have the LX (link) for my 27 inch, it is just perfect. It will depend on the weight of your monitor, I think the HX (link) can handle bigger monitors like 49" widescreen and such.
LX up to 11.3 Kg
HX up to 19 Kg
They are not cheap but they are top quality. They also have other options but these are the 2 I know of.
Ergotron LX I am using that one with my 34'... Its a bit pricey, but its solid. Amazon basics This is the same one but rebranded for Amazon and with shorter guarantee period. I haven't t used it, but reviews on the web are saying its same quality, on a cheeper price.
dont have a picture handy; but i used one of the HP branded Ergotron arms (like this one but with HP branding https://www.amazon.com/Ergotron-Monitor-Monitors-Up-Polished-Aluminum/dp/B07Q8TJ2KL?th=1) that i got off ebay for 58 bucks.
I have one of these: https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Laptop-Notebook-Platform-STAND-LAP2/dp/B00Z1VBIE0/ref=sr_1_4?crid=25PSTXLSC0P52&keywords=vesa+keyboard+tray&qid=1665757046&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0Ljg1IiwicXNhIjoiMy42NCIsInFzcCI6IjMuMTIifQ%3D%3D&s=electronics&sprefix=vesa+keyboard+tray%2Celectronics%2C84&sr=1-4 attached to the VESA mount
and I have 6 pairs of these stuck to the back of the display mounting it to the keyboard tray above. https://www.amazon.com/Command-X-Large-Picture-Hanging-Strips/dp/B09WB4YC47/ref=sxin_25_ac_d_hl?ac_md=2-1-UGljdHVyZSBoYW5nZXJz-ac_d_hl_hl_rf&content-id=amzn1.sym.3663916c-38f6-4d73-9801-2e9551111db6%3Aamzn1.sym.3663916c-38f6-4d73-9801-2e9551111db6&cv_ct_cx=command+picture+hanging+strips&keywords=command+picture+hanging+strips&pd_rd_i=B09WB4YC47&pd_rd_r=3c68f0ec-7c9c-461d-b662-81cfc57f9a78&pd_rd_w=1mn3x&pd_rd_wg=RVh5E&pf_rd_p=3663916c-38f6-4d73-9801-2e9551111db6&pf_rd_r=JYDRRFM5QJR2KMN6V4Q8&psc=1&qid=1665757094&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0LjcxIiwicXNhIjoiNC40MiIsInFzcCI6IjQuMzMifQ%3D%3D&sr=1-2-25fd44b4-555a-4528-b40c-891e95133f20
make sure the tabs stick outward so you can grab them if you ever need to take the thing off.
Im using Ergotron LX matte black for my 34 inch monitor. Its not cheap, but its quality is top notch 👌🏻
Might need two monitor arms and drill into the desk to mount the 34 inch screen's arm if you want to move it around a lot. Moving the screen is what always sinks the cheaper monitor arms and desk edge clamp mounts. That's a lot of weight and direction shifts.
You kind of need an Ergotron if you're going to swing a screen around a lot, but they cost more. Base LX is just under $200 and they do x2 screen but it's $400. I'd still rather have two single arms. Even if one was an Ergotron (for the 34) and the other was a cheaper knock off.
Monitor arms are kind of a niche item and Ergotron is an industry leader for a reason. I've had one of my LX arms since the early 2000s. It still swings around in every direction + swivel etc like it's brand new and I fiddle with moving my screen constantly in all directions every day.

This is the Ergotron LX that is highly rated for 180 USD.
This is the amazon basics one which is supposed to manufactured by Ergotron but branded for amazon for about 100 USD (you can even look in the Q&A section and see people mention it and that it comes with Ergotron branding on the mount itself)
Obviously there's cheaper ones, but I got one of these clamps for my gaming desk and it changed my life! You can run cords along the arm of it with velcro loops and then under the desk if needed.
Some other people have mentioned it, and I'll second it. Grab yourself a cheap swivel monitor arm. I have an Ergotron but any Off Brand will do the trick if you are on a budget. I absolutely LOVE mine. You can move your monitor closer when you need it.
I fly with a yoke and throttle mostly. General Aviation and have a Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo. They are big. So I pull my monitor close to me, and basically set it on the back of the yoke/throttle. It's made a huge difference in how much I enjoy flying.
Hope this helps in some way.
ERGOTRON LX Monitor Arm in Black Black, 45-241-224 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07Q8TJ2KL/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_VV7DG4XM1SRQTDS42HNS
Yup it is :) I got this one from amazon here:
Vertical Monitor Arm:
Horizontal Monitor Arm:
Those spacer screws do they extend far enough outwards to be attached/screwed into something like an Ergotron LX ? (100x100, 75x75 plate)
Ergotron LX is what I am using. I would have said Amazon Basics Premium as a cheaper alternative but man that thing increased in price heavily. Lots of people use the Vivo one but I have no experience with that brand or their lineup.
https://www.amazon.de/Ergotron-Desk-Mount-Matte-Black/dp/B07Q8TJ2KL/

Its the Ergotron lx heres the amazon uk link - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07Q8TJ2KL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Thanks man! heres the monitor arm link for ya - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07Q8TJ2KL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I just got one about a week or so ago. It's quite awesome, I must say:

I've been pretty darn pleased with it. A few thoughts:
- Standard issues like a smidge of BLB, and it really needs some color calibration as there is a noticeable color difference between it and my two PG97Q's that have been calibrated.
- It's damn big and damn heavy for an LCD. Something on the order of 22+ lbs. If you're gonna mount it, get a mount that can take it, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q8TJ2KL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I'm sure the Amazon equivalent performs just as well (and is a lot cheaper), I've just been very pleased with Ergotron products.
- The stand is surprisingly well built. In my case it's moot because I'm going to put mine on an arm like the other two screens, but as far as included stands go, it's pretty nice. It's powder coated metal, with some plastic bits on it for aesthetics, but it really sells the appearance of being a solid and sturdy base, which it is. No detectable wobble to speak of. Just as well, it's very easy to adjust your screen with this base, and travel is fairly smooth.
However I immediately turned off the projected red logo on the bottom. Without RGB control of the light, which is a feature only afforded to the PG35V (a $2500 monitor), I find it gimmicky and pointless.
- Speaking of RGB, and this is my biggest complaint with the product, is that on the back of the PG249Q, you get an controllable RGB ROG logo, which supposedly can be controlled by the Asus Aura software. However, Aura is at present, currently unstable, and I could not get it to work in two afternoons of research and experimentation, so I've just disabled it. It's a shame really, because Asus Sync stuff can be tied to Phillips Hue, and I've got a bit of a setup for that in the room where my PC is. Asus hasn't been great at responding to this, because forum posts go back about a month, and Asus hasn't responded yet : https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?112446-Aura-1-07-71-and-earlier-versions-Aura-service-is-currently-unavailable
That said, that is an 'icing on the cake' feature that I could really take or leave. It's ultimately the panel itself I care about. Considering that this is my biggest 'complaint' so far, that should give an indication of my impressions.
- The buttons are well laid out and easy to access. They've gone a bit jumbo on the buttons on the back, but I don't mind, as it's a lot easier to feel for them and know which button is which based on their orientation. Along with this, the 4-way joystick OSD menu control is the best version I've ever used.
- I've pretty much only played Control and run the Unigen Heaven benchmark on it (work has been BUSY), but I've been quite pleased, especially with its performance overclocked to 120 Hz while running G-Sync.
I was willing to purchase this, as I had my eyes on the PG348Q (which has quite a few reviews on it), so when they did a refresh, I was willing to trust that it was an improvement honestly on the basis of my ownership experience with my PG279Qs. So far, so good. :)
Yea, Individual arms though. Its the Ergotron (link below).

Hey folks! Found this deal while looking for a monitor arm for my 34" ultrawide. Based on my research, this arm is the exact same as this $150+ one that Ergotron sells with the only difference being the warranty, support, and finish.
If you're looking to mount a smaller monitor, you probably don't need something this heavy duty. But for 34-38" ultrawides, this is about half the price of similar arms.
