i bought this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VYNRKCS
it was 14 bucks. i've cooked about 200 meals with it so far. works just as good now as it did the first time. pezio lighter on it still works too. treat gear with respect and it will last.
These items are an example of how a backpacker would boil water for cooking in the backcountry:
(These are all isobutane stoves, alcohol stoves are cheaper and lighter but take longer to boil water)
A Titanium pot to hold the water:
One of these backpacking burners to support the pot over a flame
https://www.amazon.com/BRS-Outdoor-Camping-Portable-Ultralight/dp/B00NNMF70U
And then the fuel (Isobutane) It's quite safe and any company works, as long as it's Isobutane
A JetBoil is a fancier system that is sold all in one. It does boil faster and it offers more wind protection but otherwise it's the same thing
