It might help you to have an additional resource which has articles about various topics.
For example, the Evangelical Dictionary of Theology, by Baker Books, is available here at biblestudytools.com. (Unfortunately, that copy on the Web is sometimes missing spaces between the words of the sentences).
Two example articles are this one about the annual Israelite feasts and this one about Jesus' names and titles, such as 'Son of Man'.
If you want to buy a hard copy (which is about 1300 pages), here's the Amazon page for the 2nd edition, edited by Walter Elwell.
I noticed that Walter Elwell also has a book titled "Encountering the NT" (450 pages). See the positive and negative reviews about that one before buying.
