EVGA GeForce GTX 960 2GB SC GAMING, Only 6.8 inches, Perfect for mITX Build Graphics Card 02G-P4-2962-KR https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00T4BWGBM/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_IEZxwbTGW6K1F
That's off of amazon. But u can check pcpartpicker.com to see lots of prices from retailers.
Sounds like it comes with a GTX 660 which is more power hungry than a 960 so that should be fine. You'll have to do a bit of research though to find one that fits. The case looks pretty cramped.
One user said this worked out for them.
The 780 should be okay, alternatively this is newer if a little less powerful. GTX 960 2GB
For $160 wait an extra week, save $20 more and buy a 960. I use them in all my customers budget builds. they are phenomenal cards! even just the 2GB cards are fine. I mean having the extra vram with them can be nice but not entirely necessary going to the 4GB .
My current build uses a 7950 Boost and I've been seeing my screen flicker every few minutes which is signalling to me that my video card is starting to fail. Given that both Red and Green teams are going to be launching new cards under new architectures I've been really hesitant to buy a new card but if my 7950 fails I'll be SOL until late summer.
I've dug around review sites and using PCPartPicker (I'd prefer Amazon as the merchant) I think my best match for performance to the 7950 at the lowest price point is a manufacturer overclocked GTX960.
Any other suggestions? Should I bother with getting a new card or just ride out with the current card and hope it doesn't fail before the new releases?
I went with the 6.8" 960 actually just a few days ago. link It was 189.99 so you may wait until it drops perhaps on black friday since time isn't an issue for you.
Looks solid to me! I think if you have to get a new mobo now though, i5 6600 is similar in price and power. Going with LGA 1511 you may not have to update a 1511 motherboard as soon so that's something to consider. 1150 you most definitely will have to replace if you want to get a newer cpu on upgrade. That said I think this will do nicely. This is all assuming you decide to save money and grab the shorter card.
Please consider getting a 80+ gold cert PSU as well, I've always seen the PSU as the thing that can quickly ruin an entire build so its worth getting something solid.
Take this with a grain of salt as its been many years since my last build, but I've just recently pulled the trigger on a very similar setup. Hopefully this helps a bit.
EDIT: Sorry I missed the Canada Part. Fixed link. It's also 4gb instead of 2gb which may come in handy if you decide to up the res in the future.
Well looks like I need to start saving. Should I get a 700 series or a 900 series? Because i'e heard rumours about Nvidia slowing down games for their older cards in order to get people to upgrade.
EDIT: Did some searching on Amazon and I found a 960 with the same specs as my 760? http://www.amazon.ca/EVGA-GeForce-Dual-Link-Graphics-02G-P4-2962-KR/dp/B00T4BWGBM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1439151375&sr=8-1&keywords=GTX+760
I am about to order a new video card so I can run batman arkham knight and star wars battlefront. I am having a bit of a dilemma on which card I should get. I've been seriously considering getting this card as I want to stay relatively cheap in buying a new video card. Only problem I am having is whether I should get the 2gb version or the 4gb version. If I buy the 2gb version will I need to upgrade my video card sooner or will the 2gb version suffice. Currently running at 1366 x 768 resolution if that makes a difference.
I tossed a GTX 960 in mine and haven't had any issues. I also have a modular PSU, so truthfully, I could have gone with something longer.
What about the Nvidia GTX 960 mini ITX? http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Dual-Link-Graphics-02G-P4-2962-KR/dp/B00T4BWGBM/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1429572726&sr=1-4&keywords=Nvidia+GTX+960
I would also like to have 8GB of ram, but idk where to get a good set if DDR2 ram that is cheap and in working order
i have an evga https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T4BWGBM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
with original box with maybe 2 hours of use testing things on my bench for $80 local to south chandler az, if you want it.
I personally love my 960 SSC, it's $5 more, but runs most games at high without stressing, not to mention it OCs really well. See here
Here's a 960 for $180, but if you're lucky used 770 and 780s might go for under 200.
Your CPU is fine, but you need a GPU first, RAM next.
Most are recommending the 970 or 390, so I'll add another option with the 960. Cheaper, and still a good mid range card. You could get 16GB of memory and a 960 for $240.
Witcher 3 was solid on ultra at 30fps. Most games are very playable on high/ultra. In games where fps matters I run medium settings.
After reading this I'm still a little confused about what this all means for Nvidia graphics cards so I was wondering if anyone can help me out? which Graphics card would be the best to get since I'm using Windows 10 and I'm looking forward to the performance boost of DX12.
An EVGA GeForce GTX 960 Super Clocked 2GB, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T4BWGBM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_3&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
or a Gigabyte AMD R7 370 256 Bit GDDR5 2GB, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZGF40QO?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_2&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
Thanks In advanced
EDIT: I forgot to mention I'm running a 430 watt PSU but if I get the AMD graphics card I'd be able to buy a 500 Watt PSU
Please disregard, looks like I'm going with this bad boy:
Here's a GTX 960 on amazon for $194 and free shipping http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00T4BWGBM/?tag=pcpapi-20
EVGA 970 SC ACX 2.0 - Less than a month old
EVGA 960 - 6 months old http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Dual-Link-Graphics-02G-P4-2962-KR/dp/B00T4BWGBM/ref=sr_1_14?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1439509070&sr=1-14&keywords=960

Boom, and you would have saved 3 bucks. You would also get Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight for free I believe.
Otherwise you need the rest of the PC, which would add around another $150 to the build. That's a total of ~$450 which is about as budget as it gets, although you could probably get it down to $400. Then you save money on games, plus no paying for Xbox Live, plus everyone needs a PC so it has dual use.
A deal is a deal though, can never complain about a guy who likes to game. I hope Halo 5 is awesome.

Including this? the shorter card length would be better
Sorry bud, but I don't think you know what you're talking about. Just because a card has more fans doesn't make it run cooler or quieter. Cooling comes down to the design of the heatsink/spreader and the quietness of the fans come down to how fast they spin and their quality.
Also for reference, I have the same card (albeit an older version - EVGA GTX 960 SC) and the fan doesn't spin unless it needs to. As I'm writing this post, the fan is stopped and only spins up under heavy loads while I'm gaming and is very quiet. Finally, the 1060 is even more power efficient than the 960 that it replaced meaning that should the fan need to spin up to cool off the GPU it'll do so less often.
