I have not tried the 130p, it's very rigid. I even had my 450D camera attached and it worked (focuser all the way in though).

IMHO don't bother. Just get a 4mm 58° HR Planetary clone for planets, some 15mm for wide-angle. And use the kit eyepieces for starters.
