They sell new spouts to replace those trash ones. I converted my 2 cans to it.

The metal is a little thicker and so likely not as high of carbon content, but even at comparable prices I'd struggle to say I'm blown away by one more than the other.
He are the Jerry cans. They don't say Valpro but you can see their logo on the side in the pictures. They have a screw on lid instead of a cam locking lid (thanks California air resource board) so you'll have to get one of these so the spout doesn't suck entirely.

Go on /r/overlanding and search "Jerry can" and you'll see a massive post done by myself over cans. You'll need to request ad additional cap that valpro will mail you free of charge, just follow the instructions on the post.
