So everyone here is going to pretend like lengthy manuals came with the game itself? I remember purchasing game manuals for Pokémon Blue, Ocarina of Time, Halo: Combat Evolved, etc. Always separate but prominent within the section. Even now I can say I own the 544 page VDSG! Amazon link, but I bought mine at a local comic book store. Come on now...don't bandwagon without researching. Also pay no attention to that bolded "condensed edition" right on the cover..

Oh hell yes it does. It will tell you everything you need to know, and where everything is. Quests, random encounters, workshops, locations, armor, weapons, loot, everything. I've bought them for all of Bethesda's games.

I don't usually do this, but I just preordered the strategy guide to go along with my second play through. It says it will arrive between the 19-23 despite releasing on Tuesday but I still expect it this week.

Getting both the collectors guide and the limited edition of the Art Book my end, but if I had to choose one or the other, I would say go with the Collectors version of the Guide. Reason being is that both Amazon and the Bethesda store state in the description of the guide that it will "Be printed once" which makes sound like it's more collectible than the art book. And I wouldn't be surprised if people will post scans of the art book online once is gets released. Also, OP, if you are tight on money, I highly suggest getting the guide from Amazon. They are selling it for about $24 as opposed to the Bethesda store selling it for $40.

You can get the strategy guide and lithographs for like $24. A much better value but you won't get the calendar or bottle opener I think.
