I think you’re misunderstanding. While I agree, having a Stabila is better than a piece of MDF for leveling things... as I mentioned above, I’m not in need of something to act as a stop (or a level). The Kapex crown stops are much more attractive than a bright yellow level clamped to a gray, blue, and lime green saw. Which is why I ordered those.

More to the point, a level (Stabila or any other) won’t work for what I’m actually in need of.

The crown stops and the crown support board are wholly different tools. One holds the crown in place, one supports the bottom and is sacrificial. That last bit is the linchpin.

If you clamp a Stabila across the cutting path, you’ll end up with two much shorter and very useless Stabilas. And, I’m 100% sure that isn’t covered by the warranty.
