They sell these on amazon for literally $12. From the picture it appears someone took a dremel to it because it looks like shit.
Edit. Theyre $16
I don't recommend it actually. It's by far the worst red dot sight I own, which will be replaced soon, because the dot actually gets larger the further eyes are from the sight. I'd recommend something similar to this instead, which is cheap but clear and has unlimited eye relief:
https://www.amazon.com/Feyachi-Reflex-Sight-Adjustable-Reticle/dp/B01HPWATOC
I have a nearly identical LOOKING holographic sight at home, it was $18 on Amazon. Not sure if it's the same,. It looks damn close.

Absolutely invaluable. Especially for dark CQB areas where you need superhuman vision to acquire a target with regular iron sights.
My recommendation would definitely be the Bushnell trs-25 which is a real steel red dot. Very little parallax shift, waterproof, lifetime warranty, good battery life. They've been on amazon for just over $40 lately which is incredible. People were saying they were good value when they were selling for closer to $100 a while ago. I believe it needs an 0.83" riser for lower 1/3 cowitness or a 1" riser for absolute cowitness with iron sights.
Then a cheaper option, but more suited to CQB (due to parallax shift) is this style open red dot. The different selectable dot shapes are good for faster target acquisition at closer range. They hold zero fine in my experience, but will lose it if you bash them so again better for CQB where that matters less.
Well done, that's a damn economical rifle. Do you have an optic for it yet? The ultimate cherry on top of a budget build is a $16 Amazon red dot
Some of the ultra-budget optics are surprisingly serviceable, not ideal for a tactical rifle course, but work fine for periodic range time
I highly recommend finding a junky one on amazon for cheap (something like this ). It probably won’t last long, might not keep it’s zero for long, but it will help you get the feel for it. And, to be fair, my cheap one was great. Not as durable as I wanted (the circuit board is exposed), but worked perfectly even in the rain (in fact, mine still works, so maybe it’s more durable than it looks?).
When the battery died I decided it was worth upgrading and got a Vortex for about $200. I love it. Works great, has an auto-off feature (turns itself off after 12 hrs I think) and I’ve yet to replace the battery.
On the other hand, my buddy has used my red dot (the vortex) and still prefers iron sights on his. Another buddy prefers the scope on his. Definitely preference, which is why I recommend a cheap red dot to test (MBUS as backup). For basic “range shooting” who cares if it breaks, or fails? Switch to the backups and keep shooting. If you start missing the red dot, get a more durable one. If not, you’re only out $20.
I’d rate the options I’ve tried in this order: eotech, vortex, cheap red dot, mbus, standard irons, scope (I like scopes, but not for how I use an AR: 100-300m).

Took a bit to calibrate... A few CO2 cartridges... But the sight much like the gun, is amazing.
You can tell they're cheap because no reputable company makes a red dot in that style. They're fragile, and wont hold zero on a rife with any measurable recoil. Youll see these optics on pellet guns, airsoft guns, very low budged rifle builds, and purchased by people who dont know any better. For some unknown reason optics seems to be the thing people cheap out on the most. That red dot is the only thing this person has to rely on to hit a target, because he has no back up irons. So unless he knows how to "Windage down the rail" he's basically just slinging lead in the general direction of the target after the 4th or 5th shot rattles his zero to shit. This is what comes up when you search "Red dot sight for ar/15" on amazon Its literally the cheapest thing you can buy. For some reason these people will purchase the entire Strike Industries line up, but a quality optic for a couple hundred bucks is where they draw the line.
Are you talking about this one? And does it mount fine? https://www.amazon.com/Feyachi-Reflex-Sight-Adjustable-Reticle/dp/B01HPWATOC/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?_encoding=UTF8&c=ts&dchild=1&keywords=Airsoft+Sights+%26+Optics&qid=1625811750&s=paintball&sr=1-2-spons&ts_id=3294161011&p... Holy Jesus that is a long link my bad lol.
This is the one I got, works great. Red or green selector, variable brightness, multiple reticles. Even comes with 2 batteries. $30 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HPWATOC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_J82NHXHYY0X41PZ0746K?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Edit: reticles not testicles. Don't judge my autocorrect lol
A little out of my price range, but thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it. I was thinking more along the lines of this (attached below). Now I know you’re probably laughing at the price haha but is this something that can be attached to any shotgun? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HPWATOC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_EQDKXN1Z978HDXKEDSN9
I bought 4 of these a half decade back. 1 went on a pellet gun, one went on a cheap .22 and two were given away to associates with a firearm but no optics (not even irons).
Pleb as fuck I'll admit (especially b/c I still have the one on the .22) but in my defense amazon had them for $15ea at the time.
Sorry it’s actually $16.99 haha.
Your "budget" option is $300? We have very different ideas of budget options. I recently picked up this one for $30 and I'm loving it. (I know, technically not a proper red-dot sight, but you get the idea. There are a lot of similarly priced options that are proper red-dot sights in the related products area).
All three of those are pretty much what I expected lmao.
Yeah the vector is novel but I keep hearing about the issues. Like whenever I see it in a video game I'm hesitant to use it for fear of it acting up. Similar thing for these sights.
I'll be honest, I don't really get the point or appeal of the 416. It's just a piston driven m16 and not even the best of its kind. I guess I just didn't catch the hype.
Also yeah the mp5 is great fun. I once got the chance to shoot a UMP immediately after and it really highlights how good the mp5 is. What I am curious about is that CMMG banshee in F/A, since I've seen it and the sp5 compared a lot, and they're pretty similar.
Parallax is not much of an issue for CQB. Even cheaper red dot sights tend to have some parallax correction I believe, which should be adequate for CQB.
I use one of these style sights for CQB and it honestly works extremely well and holds zero. The different reticle choices are good for close range imo instead of just a simple dot. It doesn't get bright enough to use outdoors though so I use it exclusively for CQB.
A lot of the replica open style red dot sights (like eotech clones and others) are adequate, but can be VERY dark and extremely difficult to see through if used for CQB. They look cool though.
I’ve got this one and I must say there are some really decent options for the price range.
For one, the cyma ak doesn't come with rails so mounting it would require an additional optics mount.
For two I may be just bad at internetting right now but I have no idea what battery/charger you get when you buy that bundle so can't comment on it.
mag, mask, and goggles, and ~~bb's totally fine~~ buy the .25g BB's for slightly more, just remember to wash bio-BB's before use. Lots of youtube tutorials for that.
P.S. if you choose a gun that is optics friendly, or decide to later buy a mount for that gun, amazon has a whole bunch of cheap red dots like this that work totally fine. I use 1 of these specifically as my cqc sight and I've never had a problem with it even in sunny conditions.
It works w/ real steal just fine for me. You would need to get either a picatinny rail riser for your AK or an AK with picatinny rails for sights.
Check amazon for red dot sights. They have the fairly common and pretty decent quality panoramic RDS's (AKA COD4 sights) for pretty cheap like this
Pretty sure this is it because I have it as well and it looks similar.
Maybe it's just for me but every reticle but the dot is kinda blurry for me. But it works better than the iron sights on my x95.
My nice and new Classic Army Nemesis x9. It was either this or an ARP9, but I wanted a full metal gun for once so I went with this short boi. Internally it's still completely stock, and I scooped up a couple extra 120 rd mid caps. The sight, suppressor, and grip are all aftermarket.
-Classic Army x9
-120rd Mid-Caps
-Red Dot Sight
-MLok Foregrip
-Mock Suppressor
First off, you’ve got a great start. We’re giving you some razzing for sightmark, but don’t let it discourage you.
Sightmark is bad for 3 reasons:
Open top design requires more engineering to get done correctly than can be done on a $100 optic. It’s tough to get them to hold zero and have clear reticles with only one “lens”
Low battery life. The microdots like primary arms, holosun, and Sig Romeo 5 have a battery life around 50,000 hours. The sightmark battery lasts a little over 1000.
Many sightmark sights are just rebranded Chinese no name red dots with an aluminum cover. Ever notice how a bunch of cheap amazon red dots look essentially the same? Like this? Or this? they are all the same manufacturer, rebranded and resold
MRS's are cheap airsoft-tier optics though. The MRS is the same as the numerous $20 red dots that are rebranded over and over again. The MRS just costs more because it has a Walther logo on it (and even then, a $55 optic is an optic you shouldn't buy). They're discontinued now probably because they're so terrible, and so are the rebranded ones that still exist.
Here's the MRS: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/248267/|
Now here's some rebranded optics that are the same (search "red dot" on Amazon and you'll find countless other examples):
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HPWATOC/
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A36MKUO/

If you want a true holosight, get a vortex UH-1. If you are OK with a plain red dot, look at Holosun or the Sig Sauer Romeo 5
This one off Amazon. Its really cheap, and it works great.

The brand, optic, and color indicates someone is new to shooting, building, or anything firearm related. This is by all means not all inclusive.
For instance, I’m really into Soviet-type firearms (AKs, Makarovs, SKS, etc) and I generally don’t judge if someone shows up with a PSA AK as they’re generally pretty inexpensive when just starting off and in my personal experience have been okay. However, a good friend of mine who is really into Glocks and ARs bought an AK. A C39v2 from Century Arms. I told him to consult with me before any further commie purchases. Came over for the 4th of July so we were shooting guns as you do on the 4th and we got about 7 failures to eject the casing in under 30 rounds fired using four different types of mags with 2 different types of ammo. That said, I don’t hate Century, I just hate C39s. It is one of the shittiest AKs so anyone even somewhat experienced with AKs would know this.
If anyone has an Amazon optic, I will leave the range immediately because they only purchased it because some gun on Call of Duty had it and you know they have absolutely no concept of firearms safety. The amount of times I’ve been flagged or seen idiots pose for IG photos with their finger on the trigger of a rifle with a Chinesium optic is astounding. These are the type of people where I, for a split second, begin to agree with banning firearms.
If you have bright colors on your rifle, it is a meme rifle. It will be laughed at. If you want a meme rifle, go for it. I have one but I know it’s a fucking joke rifle. If you get butt hurt because your lime green, skeletonized rifle is being laughed at, you need to rethink your choices, reference above about the type of people who buy shit optics, take a firearm safety course, then just go back to your moms basement and play Call of Duty.
Also, just ask fucking questions. I don’t care how many years you’ve been a hunter or if you’re a fucking veteran. Put your ego aside. And those that are in the hobby with knowledge, get your nose out of the air. No one likes a no-it-all fudd.
I really like this one. It's basically the same one that u/nick_la_plante linked to but just a different brand name.

Some supercheap red dot I got from amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HPWATOC
Does red and green reticules and hasn't broken yet... Bought it for non-gun use, actually. But it was sitting in a drawer and this needed an aiming device.
I've been using this sight for three years. It's cheap reliable and has a minimal profile that doesnt block off my field of view.
That one could be good, I don't know. I do love playing with a red dot (I put mine to green) and will never go back
You will most likely need a 1 inch riser to give room for your mask.
Will this work then? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HPWATOC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Forgive me if I am being monkey brain
We put one of these on my son's P90:
We just started Airsoft, and I put 2 of these on 2 of our guns:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HPWATOC
They have Red or Green reticles, and multiple reticle styles, and multiple brightness levels. Works great indoors or out.
I have only used them a couple of times but so far, so good.
I also bought a sight protector:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075JYWD9B
Which my son promptly broke his first time out. The lens is made of acrylic, so they say it will only take one shot before breaking anyway. I bought a sheet of Lexan and cut out replacement lenses for both our guns:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004U7B9HM
Easy to cut out with a hacksaw and dress up with a Dremel tool.
Is there a solid gold coin in the case too? Because that'd be justification for the price point. As is, there's at least an order of magnitude between what it's listed for, and what it's worth.
TTI Lisenced 2011: $205
Nineball Hi Capa Rail mount: $80
Xcortech XT301 compact tracer: $68
Pelican Vault V200: $58 (because YTF not)
Feyachi G/R Reflex sight: $36
Matrix Flip-Up Sight Protector: $12
Death Before Dishonor keychain: $8
Total: $467
And all of that is NEW.
Whiskey Tango Alpha Foxtrot, over?
It comes with a mount that is lower, so it’s not so high. I’ve used this one aswell and it’s not too bad for the price, https://www.amazon.com/Feyachi-Reflex-Sight-Adjustable-Reticle/dp/B01HPWATOC
I've had good luck with the cheap red dots on ebay/amazon as well. They come in many "brands" but they are all the same.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HPWATOC/
You will need an adapter for the dovetail rail for you 880 though.
Ive used these cheap adapters with good luck.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XR3XZZM/
Good luck. Oh and read about the 880 "tape mod" and removal of the flat trigger spring. Made a big difference for me.
If you want to go really cheap try this one out.
It has unlimited field of vision. I sighted it in when I first got it and haven't needed to adjust it since. I have put several hundred rounds down range with it staying true. Good enough for a .22 but didn't stay true for more than a dozen shots in 5.56
