We are talking about ancestry here. If that were relevant, then Fidel being born in Cuba would be enough. But it isn't. His mother's ancestry was 100% from the Canary Islands.

Again, and if I have to repeat this over and over again, Fidel is from almost entirely Spanish ancestry with no Latino ancestry. The fact that his mother was born in Cuba is as irrelevant as Fidel being born there. His mother is of Canary Island ancestry and looks European as well.
