theres actually a kinda kit that has that mic, but it also has a mic arm, a shock mount(I believe) and a pop filter(again, I think) and some other stuff.

I recommend this one if you’re just getting started
Idk who DashieGames is but I got this one for $75 from Amazon. The arm stand it came with is a little noisy but I don’t move it a lot during my recording sessions so it works for me.

I started off with a cheap FiFine microphone. I really like the USB type B connector on it. It has a nice solid connection.
I then started using a Yeti but hated the Micro-USB connector. I gave that one to a different vTuber when I changed. I'm now using a wave 3 and it has a USB-C connector.
Out of the three I'd go with either the fifine or the wave 3 simply based on the connector types.
I use this microphone, kicks ass for the price!

My mic is a cheap Amazon mic, there really all about the same but mine particularly is this one. I just set it up in my closet and go to going. The only thing other than what comes with the mic that I linked was my actual laptop and even it's not super top of the line or anything. I did lots of research on what I absolutely needed and what I didn't and just bought that for now.
If you're on a budget I'd say at least look into this I picked it up as a quick temp replacement and that was over a year ago. I haven't had any complaints from viewers about quality and I haven't noticed any issues when rewatching VODs or clips. Took 10 min to set up some filters for it in streamlabs and haven't had to adjust any of them since.
I've got a quadcast and it's honestly a really good mic, I'm very happy with it. That said it was an impulse purchase since my modmic took a shit and I wanted something that day and the quadcast was at target 10 minutes away. Before driving to the store I had ordered this: Fifine mic, forgot to cancel the order, never hooked it up and then spaced on the return date. Ended up giving it to a friend, honestly he did a pretty bad job getting it all set up as far as setting up a soundgate and what not BUT when his kids aren't running around and screaming it sounds a lot better than his headset mic and for the $45 I got it for on sale w/ the included arm and all that it's a steal. I can't really tell any difference over discord when talking to him versus friends with yetis and what not. If you're planning on going XLR eventually I'd take a look at it, if you do your homework you'll see that it's been on r/buildapcsales frequently and it generally receives high praise. Many compare it to the quadcast and yeti and say they get similar sound quality for less price. Anyways, love my quadcast but it was a total impulse buy and I couldn't recommend it to somebody looking to go all in on a XLR setup later since it's not particularly cheap.
For sure. The Fifine T669 is a good budget microphone. Good for podcasting too. The microphone itself is on sale right now for $30 but usually runs less than $40. The one I linked is a whole starter kit that comes with a boom, pop filter and a shock mount.
You can go a fairly long way with it as long as you record in ideal conditions or use a noise filter.
I linked it further up in the thread, but you can find it here this is what I use on a daily basis and it has really nice quality and is literally plug and play
There are a few things right, first it seems that you’ve just started out so it’s gonna take sometime before getting an audience, that’s just a fact.
Also from watching a bit of the vod I noticed you speak very little, that works for some people but in my taste speaking more probably helps
That brings me to my next point. The microphone. If you have an extra USB port to use (or can remove something else) I’d recommend getting the fifine t669.
Obviously I can’t link to my content for you to hear the sound but if you wanna hear it it’s in my profile.

I hope this helps you out, just keep grinding and it’ll get better!:D
If you decide to change your mind for a better mic, here is a FiFine T669 kit. I personally use this and people keep telling me that I sound very natural which is good I guess. However, be aware that the clamping adhesive will slip off no matter what you do, so plan on improvising for that. And even with the windscreen foam on the mic, you will also need to use the pop filter as well since the microphone in my testing is very sensitive to wind when not using both filters included.
I have bad experience with the Vmoda BoomPro. On some motherboards, there is a grounding issue (or something idk) that creates a loud and unpleasant ringing when recording system sounds.
And if you have the space, I recommend getting a decent microphone with a mic stand. I currently use the $61 FiFine T669 Microphone Kit, only complaint from me is the pop sensitivity when using the cover filter alone, so you will definitely need to use the additional pop filter as well. Sound quality is good, it's a cleaner and warmer sound than my Vmoda based on my testing.
Yup but I would get this one instead since it comes with a boom arm
Ok thanks bro I’m also thinking about fifine because people are saying it has a boom arm set that competes w the blue yeti and might be better for the wallet carterpcs said it was along w a lot of others I’ll give u the link to check it out and do u think that 200$ is still a good headset worth getting w this or do u know a better option

I found one on Amazon for decent price and good reviews and it also comes with it's own arm. Can't say much about the brand and delivery seems to be under one week, worth a check:

If it turns out too bad then you can always return it under 15 days on Amazon.
A lavalier style mic is going to pick up all sorts of clothes/ sheets rustling because it is so close to you. (And, you're going to be dealing with the battery pack wire...) Earbuds currently have pretty terrible latency that will drive you nuts if you're monitoring. I use this usb mic which has directional gates (cardioid) so it will only pick up sound that is directly in front of it which helps from picking up random environmental noises. It has great clarity and that scissor arm mount is AWESOME.
For some soundproofing... I have these foam tiles along a shared wall that I cover with a soundproof curtain for aesthetics. Another way to keep sound from escaping is to get a decent door sweep . If you're renting, use command strips to hang everything and you're all set!
Normally people recommended Nvidia for streaming, however, the 3700x is a good enough cpu to encode the stream while gaming, and the 5600 xt is cheaper and gives performance equal to the rtx 2060.
In terms of upgradability, the psu is overkill for this build, but will last a long time and handle upgrades. The motherboard will support next generation of ryzen.

i use this microphone
you can also get this less expensive bundle
it's a pretty good "budget" microphone i would say, works well for me.
as far as software i use Audacity, but that's audio only.
Fifine Studio USB Microphone is currently $42.49 (USD) on Amazon.
I'm currently dealing with this EXACT issue. I was using my gain a little higher than I used to, say 60% on the mic. Out of the blue people started to complain about my mic and now even when I turn it down it sounds bad according to other people. People say staticy and distorted to describe how I sound on Overwatch. Other apps like teams meatings, no issues.

used to worked brilliantly with no complaints for years. ONLY ON OVERWATCH :-( NOW I CAN'T MAKE SWEET SWEET CALL OUTS

This microphone here does not require any extra equipment. It just uses USB so it works right away.
Hi! If you’re trying to get a high quality microphone for an affordable price I would recommend the fifine t669. It’s a full usb kit including arm and pop filter for around 70$.

I’ve had it for a while now and it honestly works a charm
This is what I sounds like completely free of any tweaking or sound editing.
I know microphone tips wasn’t specifically what you asked for but I honestly just have to advice using it. For my streams I tweak the settings and it’s basically studio quality. And also to actually answer your question, yes , sound is the no.1 important things for most streams. It’s easier to watch bad video with good audio than the other way around. :D
Thank you for your comments on my setup. To answer your questions:
1) Yes, both monitors are 24 inches. The one on the left most side is a 60Hz Dell S32340LC - Shiny Finish (gotta love that model number naming scheme), the monitor in the middle is an 144Hz HP Omen 25 - Matte Finish. The Dell monitor I have had for years now, can’t remember when I bought it. It has served me very well for a long time. The HP Omen monitor I bought about a year ago. When it comes down to whether I’d buy them again...it comes down to a few things:
For my original use case, that being playing games: yes these monitors are excellent for that purpose. As it may have been noticed, I was writing code on the middle monitor there. Because I write code a lot (I work as a software engineer), sharpness of the fonts on the screen are very important to me. Under that use case: yes, these monitors are excellent for that as well. Both have very sharp text, and very good general display quality. For those two use cases, I would definitely buy these monitors again (though I don’t think you can get the Dell one anymore, they replaced it). When it comes to color accuracy though, I would not buy these monitors if that is something of concern. I also shoot photography as a hobby and would never edit on these monitors...they are terrible for color accuracy.
HP Omen 25: https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/omen-by-hp-25-display-p-z7y57aa-aba-1
2) When I had my gaming desktop setup, I would stream video games and needed a good sounding mic. I had stopped streaming after a bit, because the account never really picked up momentum. I am considering streaming again, but it would probably be coding tutorials. I do also have a podcast in the works. The microphone is very good for the price. I find it to be very sensitive, so in order to pull the best sound from it, you’ll need to place some filtering to cut out the background noise. I would buy this mic again (though if I wanted something with a tad more quality, I’d go for something a bit higher up). The microphone can be found on Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07Y1C6GDS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_0QQHPEQDND2ADJ97EADX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Future plans for the setup will probably be to remove the mousepad eventually. My desk is composed of actually two desks, side by side. The surface is a nice darkened glass. I have the mouse pad on there because of the use of a gaming mouse, but eventually i might either switch to a smaller mouse pad or the Apple magic touchpad, but that won’t be for a long time. I do also plan on getting a set of two HomePod minis to be used as computer speakers, which will fully complete the setup.
Thank you for your interest in my setup, and I hope that these comments can prove helpful.
No worries, this is it
Any mic recs that are also affordable?
Edit: Maybe a better question, but something like this would probably be pretty high quality for a reasonable price?

Go for a Fifine mic instead, cheaper and better sound quality
cpu: the 3600 has faster cores than the 2700x, so even though it falls behind in video editing by a few percent, it's still faster in basically everything else, especially gaming. most people would rather take the gaming upgrade than have to wait a few more seconds for a video to render. have a look at gamers nexus' gaming benchmarks, and here's their video editing benchmark.
cooler: noctua is the opposite of underrated. they put out some of the best stuff but at a small premium. but that noctua low profile cooler is probably going to lose to the esports duo just because the arctic cooler is bigger.
ram: 3600mhz > 3200mhz. simple as that. it was also cheaper.
ssd's: I think the sn550 is just faster. will you notice it? probably not, but the sn550 is cheaper as well so whatever.
psu: future proofing power supplies by getting a low quality one with lots of wattage is dumb. future proofing power supplies by getting higher quality ones isn't. for the same price as your mediocre one i got a higher quality power supply with enough wattage.
monitor: rtings comparison. stand is much better, and black frame insertion (look it up) is much better so motion should look smoother if enabled. it also supports hdr although it's not that useful.
the dell that i also recommended has a better response time than both, but that doesn't matter too much.
otherwise if you don't mind losing those things the viewsonic is great. there are some reports of flickering/ghosting but idk.
kb: they have high build quality, little build flex, good feet, etc. their keycaps are pbt while most other kb's around the same price use abs (abs develops a shine and a glossy texture over time, pbt does not). if you want other keyboards, razer huntsman series is great as well. if you don't care about rgb, maybe check out varmilo keyboards. the corsair uses a non-standard bottom row which means that you can't add most custom keycaps on the bottom row.
if you do like the scroll wheel and the media buttons though, it's fine.
mic: this fifine kit, which is the fifine k669b or whatever along with a mic arm, pop filter, etc.

Yo,
I picked up a new microphone for $75.99 on Amazon 3 days ago. In my opinion, this bad boy is just as clear as a $400 mic and comes with an adjustable boom arm and stand, pop filter, cover, and everything else you need. Best decision I've ever made for my streaming career. Running it through OBS/Twitch. Here is a link to the microphone: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Y1C6GDS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Here is a link to me using the microphone: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/730784079
I haven't changed any of the settings yet. Just have plugged and played. That's how clear it has turned out.
