That is a story! Thank you for sharing. I have been considering the Suzuki books but currently am using the Essential Elements books. By Hal Leonard. https://www.halleonard.com/product/868051/essential-elements-for-strings-book-1-with-eei I am at the end of book 2. What I really like about them is all of the songs are on you tube. Just search on YouTube for “essential elements + # of the song” And you can hear a teacher play the song. And then play along with her.
But have supplemented with a these other books.
