Apologies if someone else has posted, but I always make popcorn at home and I use this, gives it thay movie theater popcorn taste. Hope it helps, certainly a lot cheaper (Flavacol Popcorn Season Salt , 35 oz. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081DM3CYV/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_YQ010W804NCGBCB4JZQX)
If you want it to taste like movie theatre popcorn, buy Flavacol Source: I worked at a Landmark Theatre when I was a teenager.
Just stick with stovetop popcorn and use this seasoning salt . This is 100% what makes the movie popcorn taste like it does.
Add a small amount to the oil before you put the kernels in and if you want a very small sprinkle at the end. Seriously you only need a tiny amount of this stuff and it will literally last you 10 years.
Flavacol. This is what movie theater popcorn is flavored with. It is certainly not good for you but this is the flavoring you’re looking for.
i worked at a amc movie theater and i will let u in on a secret

this the shit they use to make movie theater popcorn taste special
> It's the popcorn... movie theater popcorn is the best lol
make your own with this stuff, it's what they use.
Hi,
Former theater employee here.
We used 2 key ingredients for making movie theater popcorn.
For in home use. I would recommend owning a Whirley-Pop.
Measurements are:
Start by putting the Coconut Oil into the Whirley-Pop and turn on the stove to a medium heat and let the oil melt. After the oil is fully melted, turn the heat down to low-medium.
My stove at home uses numbers, and goes up to 8.5 then goes to High. I put my heat down to 3.0 (low-medium). Take a few kernels (2-3), and place them in the oil and close the cover. Wait until you hear them pop. This is how you know the oil is hot enough.
Once the oil is hot enough, take and pour your kernels into the Whirley-Pop, turn the crank a few times to spread them out. Then take your 3/4 tsp of Flavacol and try to spread it around as best as you can on top of the kernels.
Quickly close the cover and start cranking to prevent burning. Try to crank as often as possible so it spreads evenly across. This is very important when the popcorn starts popping and it soaks up all the flavor. During popping make sure you give it a shake (horizontally) once in a while.
Once the crank becomes harder to turn, you are close to being done. After popping slows down, make sure you have a big enough bowl nearby. Lift the cover (steam will be hot!) and carefully dump the popcorn into the bowl. Sample the popcorn before adding any seasonings or popcorn salt to it.
While we are in the middle of a pandemic, People cannot go to the movies to enjoy the popcorn. So I think it's only fair they have the equal opportunity to recreate the exact same thing at home at a fraction of the cost.
+1 for the flavorcal
