Dumbbells, rings, or TRX. Otherwise you're looking at isometrics/timed static contractions, also good but different. For those a forearm forklift strap works quite well:

You definitely need two people, at least if it's a WEGA Trinitron. Even the 31" WEGA is tough for a single person.
Treat yourself to something like this, or just basically use some nylon rope to achieve the same thing. It's gonna make your job quite a bit easier. You'll thank yourself again someday in the future when you have to move the TV's back down.

I've used something similar in the past for moving really big things and they're amazing.
This product may be of help OP, I think it's max weight is 700lb (roughly 315kg). I've never used one and you'd still need some bloody strong people but it might help
