"Porto, Portugal" 😂
we drove with the car all around spain and portugal a few years ago and when we stopped in Lissabon some guy came to our car and told us in broken english, so we are not 100% sure what he meant, that we can park there safely until 1 p.m. - but we should definetly leave at 1 p.m. because then "bad people" would come and break into our car! 😂
needless to say we had no problems with "bad people" whatsoever in Portugal - but in south spain someone broke into our car a few days later and took all our things :(
so back to topic:
on top of the lock you should also attach a bike alarm to your scooter, so even if someone starts messing with your lock or your scooter, this alarm will go off very loudly and alert everyone who is nearby - I guess most thieves will just run away by then!
I mean something like this, they are all over amazon:
I'm living in Berlin which is the German capital of bike theft and after my last bike got stolen I now have a Bordo X Granite plus 6500 and this alarm system which is insanely loud as soon as you touch the bike slightly. But most important I pay 60€ per year for Insurance and just today I got 2600€ back for my Neuron that got stolen three weeks ago, because I locked it with a cheap lock in the night on the weekend in the worst area.

I can't anything about the 1st photo, but the 2nd looks to be a Fosmon bike alarm. Has the general shape and the text down the center looks like it says Fosmon and the logo. I would guess the other one is the same, just attached to the other side.

Have you thought about using one of these bike alarms? They seem like a good option for someone who doesn't have the time to deal with extra locks.
Also for insurance make sure you take a picture of each item on the bike including a picture of the receipt or a copy of the order confirmation. I was able to get just about every single item in my bag that was stolen out of my car covered that way. The insurance agent even said it would make it super easy for them to process it and I had my check maybe a five days later.
Make sure you have good locks/chains. I got an alarm too.
well, appart from a good U-lock, attach one of these bike alarms to the scooter and the trailer:
they are awesome! cheap and effective! I even have one on the inside of my garage door in case anyone tries to open it 😂
Great job. Handled really well. Pleasantly surprised with the thieves behaviour too listening to your directions that well. The guy is on foot so he probably lurks mostly in this area. What quadrant of the city?
Here's a site for bike locks and bike locking tips: https://thebestbikelock.com/how-to-lock-your-bike/
I've never had a bike stolen that wasn't straight out of my backyard while unlocked but this is owed mostly to my ability to always bring my bike inside where I am going. When I've had to lock it I've used:
2 u-locks, as shown in the site. One from the front wheel to the frame and one from the rear wheel to the frame to the locking station.
One cable lock that came with one of the ulocks, just as an added lock to the front wheel from the rear (when I did not have 2 ulocks).
One seat cable from the rear u-lock to the seat. One bike has a permanent seat cable as I never adjust it anymore.
A motorcycle alarm hehe. The one I have isn't on amazon anymore but here's something similar for a similar price point to give an idea https://www.amazon.ca/Fosmon-Waterproof-Vibration-Triggered-Motorcycle/dp/B07PQ92SHC
Looks like a great bike! My bike uses the same battery as yours and has a super long lifespan from other riders I've talked to. 10,000+km on the battery and still going strong.
For locks I'll leave that to others but I use an alarm along with a folding lock. I love the alarm, it works well and is quick and easy to use. I've set the sensitivity low enough it never has false alarmed on me and really just works like a car key fob so is easy to get used to. Just put your battery key on the remote's keychain loop and keep it with you. Only issue is don't park in the rain with the alarm I don't believe it's waterproof, I put mine inside a water resistant box that I mounted on the bike.

I would suggest buying the following.

I no longer have the footage but on my go pro I watch two teens walk up to my E scooter.
"Hey look at that"
"Is their any one coming?"
"No"
"Don't" *Points finger* "GPS on it"
(One kid puts his hand on the handle bar and it lets out a warning beep.)
"Leave it"

So it seems to work at deterring people from touching it. Not sure if it will work for everyone but worth a shot.
Funnily enough a cheap bicycle alarm off amazon works well.
They're nice and sensitive, with a warning sound on first motion.
Buy the following.
Yes, looks like Fosmon bike alarms which do have motion detection.

They have these cycle pods which are pretty good but you still need to have your own lock and chain. Unfortunately they’re right down the far side of the station which makes it seem easier for thieves but it’s also right next to a staff smoking area so there are usually some people around. I always had one of these hidden under my seat and it was amazing.
Get yourself one of these just in case.
Get one of these if you haven't already. It at least adds some peace of mind. Maybe a good lock like this as well. The harder you make it to steal or the longer it takes to cut through the lock (or better yet locks) the more of a deterrent. If you have disc brakes on your bike they make locks that clamp through the disc brake but I think that's mostly fore motorcycles though I don't see why it wouldn't work on a bicycle with disc brakes.

I have 2 kryptonite keeper chains, for the frame and for the front wheel. And I also got this thing (https://www.amazon.ca/Fosmon-Waterproof-Vibration-Triggered-Motorcycle/dp/B07PQ92SHC/) and it's proven to work pretty well. All 3 of them together make a more compelling lock situation than each one on their own.
I also ordered a new front wheel skewer without the quick release and I hope that helps a tiny bit.
I also put an apple Airtag on it, but we'll only know how good that is when I need it...
No, theres lots of them of them on Amazon. They're just basic alarms you attach to your scooter, if anybody touches it, will make a loud noise
Here's a link to one: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07PQ92SHC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_hT0nFb2PYEHP5
Get a vibration sensing alarm, put it inside the case.
